For battery longevity, keep the charge level between 20% and 80%. Regularly draining it to zero or leaving it plugged in overnight shortens cycle life noticeably. An external 18650 charger like the XTAR VC2 charges more gently than the internal USB-C circuit and costs under $15.

The biggest advantage over devices with built-in batteries: after 300–500 charge cycles, when capacity drops noticeably, you swap the 18650 for $5–8 instead of replacing the entire device. Samsung 25R or Sony VTC5 are proven cells with enough discharge current for the V4 Pro.

A standout feature of the V4 Pro is its 3-stage airflow. Three airflow resistance levels are available: tight (more flavor, less vapor volume), medium (balanced), and open (easy draw, bigger clouds). This lets you match the device to your personal draw style.

The vapor path is isolated and channels hot air separately from the electronics to the chamber. The result is clean flavor without any plastic or metal taste in the vapor. The magnetically attached glass mouthpiece doubles as a native 14mm WPA — a clever dual-purpose design.

In practice, the airflow setting makes a clear difference. Stage 1 (tight) works best at lower temperatures for flavor chasing: draw slowly, 8–10 seconds per pull. Stage 3 (open) suits higher temperatures above 200 °C and produces noticeably thicker clouds. Most users settle on stage 2 as their everyday setting.

The V4 Pro’s glass mouthpiece doubles as a native 14mm WPA (Water Pipe Adapter). It fits directly into 14mm glass joints and works with 18mm pieces via a simple adapter. Water filtration cools and smooths the vapor — especially noticeable at higher temperatures.

Dosing capsules are not supported. The chamber is loaded directly, which means slightly more cleaning effort but no impact on flavor. XMAX sells replacement glass mouthpieces, silicone caps, and cleaning accessories as original spare parts.

For third-party accessories, an external 18650 charger (XTAR VC2 or Nitecore D2), a second 18650 battery for on-the-go, and a small brush set for chamber cleaning are the most worthwhile additions. A grinder with medium coarseness produces the best results — material ground too fine can block the airflow.

Other manufacturers offer 14mm glass adapters in various lengths and shapes that extend the vapor path and cool the vapor further. If you primarily use the V4 Pro through water, investing in a small bubbler rig makes sense — decent ones start at around $20.

Compared to its predecessor, the V3 Pro, the V4 Pro offers true convection instead of hybrid heating, an on-demand mode, OLED display instead of LEDs, 3-stage airflow, and the magnetic glass mouthpiece. If you’re choosing between the two: the V4 Pro is better in every way, at only a small premium.

Best suited for: Beginners who want clean-tasting vapor without spending over €80. Users who value a replaceable battery. Switchers from conduction devices curious about the convection difference.

Less suited for: Those who need dosing capsules (not compatible), expect app control (not available), or want a dual-use device for herbs and concentrates. Users demanding very high vapor volume should look at a desktop unit or the Mighty+ instead.

The Mighty+ uses PEEK (polyether ether ketone) for its housing. PEEK comes from medical and aerospace industries: food-safe, heat-resistant, and far tougher than standard plastic. Where other vaporizers crack after a drop, a PEEK housing survives.

The filling chamber holds 1.4 cm³ and has a ceramic coating for wear resistance and easy cleaning — a damp cotton swab after every third session does the job. The cooling unit sits on top and uses a labyrinth airflow path that brings vapor to a comfortable temperature before it reaches the mouthpiece.

Storz & Bickel manufactures the Mighty+ entirely in Germany and certifies it under UL 8139 and IEC 60335-1 — safety standards rarely seen in the vaporizer industry.

The Mighty+ features an LC display showing current and target temperature simultaneously. Two soft-touch buttons (+/-) adjust temperature in 1-degree steps across a 40–210 °C range. The display reads well even in direct sunlight.

Compared to the VENTY (OLED display, Bluetooth app), the Mighty+ offers leaner app connectivity. Via Bluetooth it connects to the S&B Web App, where you can fine-tune the temperature and install firmware updates. App & Firmware Updates

The S&B Web App runs directly in the browser — no app store download needed. After Bluetooth pairing, it shows real-time device temperature and allows precise adjustments. Firmware updates are offered automatically when available and install with one click.

Browser tip: Chrome (desktop and Android) works most reliably since the app uses the Web Bluetooth API. Safari and Firefox have limited or no Web Bluetooth support. On iOS, Bluefy (available in the App Store) provides a Web Bluetooth-capable browser as a workaround.

The Mighty+ houses two lithium-ion batteries totaling 3,300 mAh. In practice, expect 6 to 8 full sessions per charge, depending on temperature and draw behavior. That is less than the VENTY (5,940 mAh) but covers a full day for most users.

Charging runs through USB-C. With the Supercharger (15V / 3A, sold separately), the Mighty+ reaches 80 percent in roughly 40 minutes. Standard USB-C chargers work too, just slower. Passthrough charging is supported — vape while connected to the Supercharger.

At 242 grams and 8.0 × 14.0 × 3.0 cm, the Mighty+ is not a pocket device, but it fits a jacket pocket or small backpack. The weight gives it a premium feel that cheaper vaporizers lack.

The battery is not user-replaceable. Storz & Bickel offers battery replacement as a paid service.

Concentrates with the Mighty+

For waxes and oils, Storz & Bickel offers Liquid Pads – small stainless-steel mesh discs placed inside the filling chamber. The concentrate goes on top of the pad so nothing seeps into the device. A set of 8 costs around €10. The pads also fit inside dosing capsules together with a Concentrate Pad. Recommended temperature for concentrates: 190–210°C.

Battery Life in Practice

Storz & Bickel officially quotes around 90 minutes of use. In daily practice, that translates to 6 to 8 sessions at 180–190 °C. Heavy booster use or sessions above 200 °C bring the count closer to 5 or 6. For comparison, the VENTY with its 5,940 mAh battery lasts notably longer, though it weighs only 120 g less.

The two lithium-ion cells (3,300 mAh total) are permanently installed. When capacity drops after 2–3 years, Storz & Bickel offers paid battery replacement as a service — send the device in and expect it back within about two weeks.

The Mighty+ fully supports dosing capsules. These small stainless steel capsules are pre-filled and inserted as needed — practical on the go and keeps the chamber clean. An 8-capsule magazine is available as an accessory.

Cleaning

The cooling unit comes off without tools and soaks in isopropyl alcohol. Brush the chamber after each session. Every two to three weeks, Storz & Bickel recommends a thorough clean: disassemble the cooling unit, swap screens, wipe the chamber with a damp swab. The entire process takes under five minutes.

Wear Parts & Replacement Costs

Storz & Bickel offers a Wear & Tear Set for around €30. It includes cooling unit parts, seals, screens, and a cleaning brush. Individual parts are also available: replacement screens (normal set, 6 pieces) for about €6, a complete cooling unit for about €18. Screens should be replaced every 3 to 6 months, the cooling unit as needed. Original parts are available from the Storz & Bickel online shop or authorized retailers.
