How to Use - Getting Started
The Mighty+ by Storz & Bickel is a hybrid vaporizer with conduction and convection heating. It delivers consistently good vapour from the first second to the last. With USB-C charging, dosing capsules and app control, getting started is straightforward.
1. First charge
Connect the Mighty+ using the included USB-C cable. The 3300-mAh battery takes around 80 minutes for a full charge. The LED ring around the power button shows the charge level: all three LEDs lit = fully charged. You can also use the Mighty+ while charging (pass-through charging).
2. Fill the chamber
Twist off the cooling unit anticlockwise. Grind your herb medium-fine and fill around 0.15 g into the chamber - or insert a dosing capsule, which keeps the chamber clean and makes swapping take seconds. Do not pack it too tightly; air needs to flow through. Refit the cooling unit and lock it into place.
3. Set the temperature
Hold the power button for 3 seconds. The display shows the current and target temperatures. The Mighty+ heats up in around 60 seconds. Beginner recommendation:
- 180 °C - pure flavour, light vapour
- 190 °C - balanced, good flavour and solid vapour
- 200 °C - dense clouds, less aroma
- 210 °C - maximum, full extraction
Via the Storz & Bickel app, you can also activate the booster function, which adds another 15 °C at the end of a session.
4. Draw technique
Inhale slowly and evenly for 10-15 seconds. Fast, forceful pulls produce less vapour because the air passes the heater too quickly. A session lasts around 5 minutes. After 2 minutes without a draw, the Mighty+ switches off automatically.
5. After the session
Hold the power button for 3 seconds to switch off. Let the device cool briefly, then remove the cooling unit and tap out the chamber over a container. Brush out the chamber with the included brush. Soak the cooling unit in isopropyl alcohol once a week - this keeps the airflow clear and the flavour clean.
The 5 most common beginner mistakes
- Chamber packed too tightly - airflow gets blocked and you get barely any vapour. A loose fill is enough.
- Starting immediately at maximum temperature - at 210 °C the first draw tastes burnt. Start at 180 °C and work your way up.
- Not cleaning the cooling unit - after 5-10 sessions, resin builds up in the cooler. This restricts airflow and worsens flavour.
- Drawing too quickly - slow draws produce significantly more vapour than rushed sucking.
- Ignoring dosing capsules - they keep the chamber clean and make swapping on the go incredibly easy.
