The body is made from Grade 5 titanium — lightweight, extremely heat-resistant, and biologically inert. This material is used in medical devices and aerospace because it releases no harmful substances at high temperatures and remains flavor-neutral.

The chamber has three screen positions that adjust the bowl size: approximately 0.1 g, 0.15 g, or 0.2 g. Suitable for micro-dosers and full sessions alike. At only 46 g total weight, the TEMPEST 2 is one of the lightest ball-vape stems available — the Vestratto Tornado weighs over 60 g by comparison. The torch method offers maximum control — varying the distance and angle of the flame lets you adjust temperature intuitively. Both methods deliver dense convection hits because the zirconia balls act as a heat reservoir, distributing energy evenly to the air regardless of the heat source.

The TEMPEST 2 fits directly into 10 mm, 14 mm, and 18 mm water pipe adapters, covering the three most common joint sizes. Water cooling smooths the vapor noticeably, especially at higher temperatures above 210 °C where terpene preservation matters most.

For the best results, use a small bubbler with minimal dead space so the vapor does not cool too much and flavors stay intact. The combination of zirconia-ball convection and water filtration produces surprisingly dense, cool draws that rival desktop ball vapes like the FlowerPot B2 in a side-by-side comparison. No extra adapter is needed — the TEMPEST 2 has a built-in WPA connection that sits firmly without wobble.

Soak the zirconia balls and screen in isopropyl alcohol (at least 90%), rinse, and air dry. Brush or soak the titanium body with a pipe cleaner — titanium is corrosion-resistant and handles extended soaking without damage.

Cleaning interval: A thorough cleaning every 10–15 sessions keeps performance optimal. For daily use, a quick blow-out of the screen after each session is sufficient. The TEMPEST 2 runs two distinct heating modes through its induction coil. The first mode delivers steady, regulated power for session-style use — set a temperature and the device holds it for the full draw. The second mode pulses energy in short bursts, which suits on-demand hits where you want quick heat-up and immediate cool-down between draws.

Switching between modes takes a long press on the main button. Induction heating means the coil itself never contacts the herb; only the metal insert gets hot. This keeps the air path clean and makes maintenance simpler than in devices with exposed heating elements.
