The ball-vape principle in a pocket-sized format

Desktop ball vapes store heat in a bed of small ceramic or zirconia balls, producing dense convection vapor. The Tempest miniaturises this principle: its stainless-steel chamber contains 2.5-millimeter zirconia balls, which are heated using the torch flame of a jet lighter. When you inhale, the stored heat flows through the herbs — convection without a battery, cables or electronics.

Airflow control via the stainless-steel sliding ring

The cap features a sliding stainless-steel ring that allows continuous airflow adjustment — from restricted to wide open. Besides draw resistance, this also controls how quickly the stored heat is transferred to the material. The stem is based on the Revolve from the same manufacturer, whose mouthpiece ecosystem is already used by many vaporizer enthusiasts.

Torch or induction heater

As is customary with mechanical vaporizers, the Tempest requires an external heat source. In addition to a conventional jet lighter, it also works with an induction heater of the kind owned by many DynaVap users — making heating more reproducible and flame-free. As a torch-heated device, the Tempest has no fixed temperature setting: heating time and inhalation technique determine the result, which means there is a certain learning curve.
