Operation & Use
The Arizer Solo 3 V2 uses glass aroma tubes instead of a traditional chamber. The borosilicate glass ensures pure flavour with no plastic or metal in the vapour path. With 5000 mAh, it has the largest battery in its class – enough for 15–20 sessions per charge.
1. First charge
Connect the Solo 3 V2 via the USB-C cable. The 5000-mAh battery takes around 2.5–3 hours for a full charge. You can vape while charging (pass-through charging). The OLED display shows the battery level as a percentage.
2. Fill the glass tube
Grind your herb medium-fine. Hold the glass tube upright and gently press the open end into the ground material. Around 0.1–0.15 g is enough. The glass serves as both mouthpiece and chamber – so you fill it from the top. Do not pack it down: air must be able to flow through the material.
3. Insert the glass tube and choose the temperature
Insert the filled glass tube into the Solo 3 V2 heating chamber. Switch the device on (hold the button for 3 seconds). The OLED display shows the current temperature. Set your preferred temperature using the arrow buttons (50–220 °C in 1-°C steps):
- 180 °C – pure flavour, light vapour
- 195 °C – balanced, flavour plus solid clouds
- 210 °C – dense clouds, less aroma
- 220 °C – maximum, full extraction
Heat-up time is around 30 seconds. The ArGo App also allows additional temperature curves and presets.
4. Draw technique
Draw directly from the glass tube – slowly and evenly for 10–15 seconds. The glass cools the vapour naturally. A session lasts 12 minutes, after which the device switches off automatically. You can adjust the session length in the settings.
5. After the session
Switch the device off and let it cool briefly. Carefully pull out the glass tube and tap out the spent material. A light blow through the tube removes the last residue. Soak the glass tubes in isopropyl alcohol every 5–10 sessions – this keeps the flavour clean and the glass transparent.
The 5 most common beginner mistakes
- Glass tube packed too tightly – This completely blocks airflow. A light press into the material is enough.
- Tube not inserted deeply enough – If it sits too loosely, heat transfer is poor. Push it in firmly until it stops.
- Starting temperature too high – At 220 °C, the first draw tastes harsh. Start at 180–195 °C.
- Drawing too fast – With the Solo 3 V2, slow draws produce significantly more vapour than fast sucking.
- Not cleaning the glass tube – Resin darkens the glass and changes the flavour. Rule: clean every 5–10 sessions.
Research context: A study in the Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences (Hazekamp et al., 2006) showed that vaporisation at controlled temperatures releases more than 95 % of the desired active compounds while largely avoiding combustion by-products. Source: PubMed 16637053

Tips for the Solo 3
Cleaning & Care
Regular cleaning keeps the Solo 3 V2 in top condition and ensures pure flavour. After each session, brush out the chamber and remove loose residue. Once a week, clean the mouthpiece and vapour path with isopropyl alcohol (min. 90%).
Cleaning intervals
| Component | Frequency | Method |
|---|---|---|
| Chamber | After each session | Brush, tap out |
| Mouthpiece | Weekly | Iso bath (15 min) |
| Vapour path/screen | Every 2 weeks | Soak in iso, rinse out |
| Outer housing | As needed | Damp cloth |
Avoid typical mistakes
- No water in the chamber — only isopropyl or dry cleaning
- Do not use sharp metal objects in the vapour path
- Replace screens in good time if draw resistance increases
What Are the Ideal Temperature Settings?
The right temperature on the Solo 3 V2 determines flavour, vapour density and active compound profile. Lower temperatures (170–185 °C) emphasise terpenes and deliver mild, aromatic vapour. Higher temperatures (195–210 °C) create denser clouds and a stronger effect.
Temperature zones at a glance
| Zone | Range | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Flavour | 170–185 °C | Mild, aromatic, little visible vapour |
| Balance | 185–195 °C | Good flavour with visible vapour |
| Dense clouds | 195–210 °C | Powerful vapour, more intense effect |
Practical tips
- Start at 180 °C and increase in 5-degree steps
- A finer grind often requires a temperature 5–10 °C lower
- In cold surroundings, increase the starting temperature by 5 °C
How Do I Charge the Battery Properly?
The Solo 3 V2 battery lasts for several sessions with typical use. For maximum lifespan, keep the battery between 20% and 80% and avoid deep discharge. USB-C charging with a high-quality power supply speeds up the charging process.
Battery tips
- Do not leave it permanently on the charger — unplug after 100%
- With a replaceable battery: use original or recommended cells
- Battery performance drops in the cold — let it warm up before the session
- Pass-through charging (if supported) allows use while charging
