Manual & datasheet
About this vaporizer
The Arizer Solo 2 is a portable vaporizer with a glass vapor path and a 3400 mAh battery. The borosilicate glass aroma tubes are its defining feature: they form the complete vapor path from the oven to the mouthpiece, delivering very pure-tasting vapor without plastic or metal contact. Heat-up time is around 30 seconds to 220°C.
The device supports dosing capsules and passthrough charging. The Solo 2 offers precise temperature control in 1°C increments and stores preferred temperatures. Water pipe compatibility is available with appropriate aroma tube adapters.
Compared to the Solo 3 V2, the Solo 2 lacks the newer design and some comfort improvements, but the core glass vapor path quality is the same. For users who prioritize vapor quality and flavor purity over compactness, the Solo 2 remains a compelling choice.

How Do I Replace the 18650 Battery?
Hybrid heating: ceramic element with conduction and convection. 50-220°C in 1-degree steps, heat-up in about 30 seconds. That makes the Solo 2 faster than the Air MAX (60 s) and significantly faster than the ArGo (90 s).
The glass airpath is the reason many buy the Solo 2: borosilicate aroma tubes, no plastic, no metal in the vapor path. At temperatures between 175 and 195°C, you taste every nuance. Higher temps (200-220°C) deliver denser clouds at the cost of flavor detail.
Temperature Guide: Which Setting for Which Effect?
| Range | Temperature | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Flavor | 175–190 °C | Aromatic, light vapor, gentle extraction |
| Balanced | 190–200 °C | Good balance between flavor and vapor density |
| Clouds | 200–220 °C | Dense vapor, stronger extraction, less flavor |
Unlike the Air MAX, the Solo 2 lacks an on-demand mode — but the hybrid heating with its built-in session control is simpler: set the temperature and inhale.
Vapor Quality vs. Price Range
The Solo 2 often sells for under €60 today. At this price point, no other vaporizer offers a pure glass airpath. Devices like the XMAX V3 Pro have similar features but plastic or metal vapor paths. For those who prioritize flavor purity, the Solo 2 offers the best value among portable convection vaporizers.
How Long Does the Battery Last?
The Solo 2 has a sealed 3,400 mAh battery. It cannot be swapped by the user; Arizer offers a replacement service instead. Arizer quotes around three hours of runtime; at high temperatures it is closer to two in practice – roughly 15 to 20 sessions at 5 minutes each.
Charging uses the included wall charger (DC connector); the Solo 2 has no USB port – only the Solo 2 MAX brings USB-C. Use while charging works: after a few minutes on the charger, the device can be used with the cable attached.
The Solo 2 MAX offers the same core performance with USB-C and longer runtime (~3 hours). If you already own a Solo 2 and are happy, no need to upgrade.
Battery Tips for Maximum Lifespan
- Do not store at 100% constantly: lithium cells last longer when stored between 20% and 80%.
- Use charging during sessions sparingly: it warms the battery more than normal charging.
- Avoid deep discharge: if the Solo 2 will sit unused for a while, charge it to about half first.
Charging Times Overview
| Method | Duration (0→100%) | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Wall charger (included) | ~2–3 hours | Standard method, no USB |
| Use while charging | Longer | Works, but extends the charge time |
Glass Aroma Tubes & Dosing Capsules
Two aroma tubes included: standard (straight) and frosted (cools slightly more, fits more snugly). Both borosilicate glass, both compatible with water pipe adapters (14 mm / 18 mm sold separately).
Stainless steel dosing capsules are available and keep the chamber clean. Without capsules: 0.15-0.2 g. With capsule: about 0.1 g.
The stems protrude from the top — making the Solo 2 less pocket-friendly than the ArGo, but the longer vapor path delivers cooler draws.
Stem Types Compared
| Stem | Feature | Recommended for |
|---|---|---|
| Standard (clear) | Smooth surface, easy to clean | Daily use |
| Frosted | Matte surface, tighter fit, slightly better cooling | On the go (less wobble) |
| Short stem (110 mm) | More compact, less cooling | Discreet transport |
| WPA 14/18 mm | Water pipe connection, maximum cooling | At home with bubbler |
Cleaning the Glass Stems
Isopropyl alcohol (90%+) and a zip bag are all you need: place the stem inside, wait 30 minutes, rinse with hot water. Stubborn residue also dissolves when simmered in milk (the fats bind the resin). Clean the chamber in the device itself with the included brush — never put alcohol into the device.
How Do I Use the Controls and Presets?
LED display with current and target temperature. Two-button controls: up and down. Up to 10 programmable session presets for different temperatures.
Auto shut-off after adjustable time (default: 15 minutes). No Bluetooth, no app — Arizer keeps it deliberately simple. For more control, look at the Solo 3 V2 with color display and on-demand mode.
Session Workflow in Practice
- Fill the stem: 0.15–0.2 g medium grind, loosely packed. Don't tamp down.
- Power on: Press button 5×. Display shows heat-up phase (~30 s).
- Inhale: Slow, steady draws over 5–10 seconds.
- Increase temperature: After 3–5 draws, raise by 5–10 °C for more extraction.
- End session: Device auto-shuts off after 15 min, or press 5× manually.
Setting Up Presets Effectively
The Solo 2 stores up to 10 temperature presets. In practice, 3–4 are enough:
- Preset 1 (Flavor): 180 °C — first draws of a fresh fill
- Preset 2 (Standard): 195 °C — everyday setting for most users
- Preset 3 (Intense): 210 °C — last draws or denser clouds

Solo 2 vs Solo 2 MAX
The MAX is an upgrade, not a redesign:
| Feature | Solo 2 | Solo 2 MAX |
