Convection Heating and Draw Sensor
The PAX Flow uses pure convection. Hot air passes through the herb in the stainless steel chamber instead of heating the chamber directly. The result: more even extraction and a clearer flavour profile than with conduction devices.
The draw sensor starts the heating automatically when you inhale on the mouthpiece – no button, no preheating. Heat-up time is around 20 seconds. Between draws, the heater switches off, which saves material. No. The PAX Flow is draw-activated. You inhale on the mouthpiece and the convection heater starts automatically. The temperature level is changed by a short shake or via the app.
About 20 seconds. Since the heater starts with every draw (on-demand), there is no need for preheating in the traditional sense.
4 presets: 182, 193, 204 and 215 degrees C. There is no stepless adjustment, but the 4 levels cover the usual range well.
PAX states around 90 minutes of usage time. Depending on temperature and draw frequency, 8-12 sessions are possible. Charging is via USB-C.
An included lid that halves the chamber volume (from approx. 0.3 g to 0.15 g). Ideal for shorter sessions with less material.
