AirVape Legacy Pro

The Legacy Pro covers a temperature range from 93 to 227°C. Adjustments happen in 1°C increments using the buttons on the device itself — no app, no Bluetooth, no extra software needed. The OLED display shows both the current and target temperature at a glance.

Low temperatures between 93 and 160°C bring out the lighter terpenes. Linalool (from around 118°C) and limonene (from around 130°C) produce a floral, fresh flavor without much vapor. The middle range from 160 to 195°C releases the majority of cannabinoids, and the vapor gets noticeably thicker. Above 200°C the Legacy Pro puts out strong clouds, but flavor starts to drop off.

Single-degree precision is not just a spec sheet number. Anyone who regularly switches between different herb types will notice that a 5°C difference can change a session significantly. Lavender unfolds differently at 120°C than at 135°C. The fine adjustments help you dial in your personal sweet spot instead of being locked into preset levels.

The removable 18650 battery holds 3200 mAh and lasts for roughly 8 to 10 sessions per charge — depending on temperature and draw length. A second cell swaps in within seconds; heavy users can carry a charged spare. At moderate 180°C settings a full charge covers a typical day without trouble. For heavy users, a quick top-up over USB-C during lunch is all it takes.

Passthrough charging comes standard. You can use the device while it charges without stressing the battery. A full cycle takes about 90 minutes, which is noticeably quicker than many competitors still using Micro-USB and needing three hours.

In everyday life, the weight stands out first. At 130 g the Legacy Pro weighs less than most smartphones. It slides into a jacket pocket without creating a bulge. Heat-up time sits under 20 seconds — press the button and you are ready almost immediately. Haptic feedback (a short vibration) tells you when the target temperature is reached, so you do not have to keep staring at the screen.

The Legacy Pro works with both dry herb and concentrates such as waxes and oils. A separate concentrate insert comes in the box and drops into the herb chamber. Switching takes a few seconds.

For dry herb, a medium grind works best. The chamber holds about 0.3 g, which is enough for a full session. Grinding too fine can restrict airflow and reduce the convection component. A medium consistency lets enough air pass through so the hybrid heating can do its job properly.

For concentrates, set the temperature to at least 190°C. The insert prevents liquid residue from reaching the main chamber. After your session, simply remove the insert and wipe it with an isopropyl-soaked cotton swab. A practical tip: between herb and concentrate sessions, run a short heat cycle at 220°C with an empty chamber. This burns off residue and keeps everything clean.

The housing is made from aerospace-grade aluminum — the same material used in aircraft construction. It is light, scratch-resistant, and feels good in the hand. At 130 g total weight, the Legacy Pro ranks among the lightest hybrid vaporizers available. For comparison, the Mighty+ weighs almost three times as much.

The mouthpiece attaches via a magnetic connection. It clicks into place with a quiet snap and pulls off easily for cleaning. No threads, no twisting — just set it on top. In daily use this saves time, especially if you remove the mouthpiece often to reload the chamber.

The vapor path runs through an insulated ceramic tube. This keeps the vapor separated from the housing and prevents the aluminum from getting hot. Even after several back-to-back sessions the outside stays comfortably warm. A water pipe adapter for 14 mm and 18 mm joints is available as an accessory and adds the option of water filtration for smoother draws at higher temperatures.

Cleaning the Legacy Pro is straightforward. After each session, brush out the still-warm chamber with the included brush — that handles daily upkeep. Once a week, remove the mouthpiece and soak it in isopropyl alcohol (90% or higher) for ten minutes. Rinse with water and let it dry.

The chamber screens can also be cleaned in isopropyl. With heavy use, plan to replace them every two to three weeks. Replacement screens are cheap and stocked by most retailers.

A trick for less cleaning overall: after your last session of the day, crank the temperature to 220°C and take a few draws through the empty chamber. This burns off any residue clinging to the walls and keeps the vapor path clear. If you use concentrates, wipe the insert with a cotton swab after every use to prevent buildup from baking on. The general rule: regular quick wipe-downs save you from a tedious deep clean later.
