Short answer: This page reviews the consumer STORZ & BICKEL MIGHTY+. The manufacturer lists hybrid convection-and-conduction heating, a 40–210 °C range, approximately 242 g weight, a 1.4 cm³ ceramic-coated filling chamber and roughly one minute of heat-up at 180 °C. With the specified 15 V/3 A, 45 W Supercharger, charging to about 80 % takes roughly 40 minutes and pass-through can operate when the display confirms dct. Those conditions do not apply to every USB-C charger. The MIGHTY+ MEDIC is a different, medically certified product and its status must not be transferred to this consumer device.
First identify the model: MIGHTY+ is not MIGHTY+ MEDIC
Three similar names create a high risk of factual drift. The original MIGHTY launched before the MIGHTY+ and uses a different charging arrangement. The current consumer MIGHTY+ is the household vaporizer described on the STORZ & BICKEL shop and support pages linked below. MIGHTY+ MEDIC is a separately supplied and certified medical device sold through the manufacturer’s medical platform. The discontinued MIGHTY MEDIC adds a fourth historical name.
This distinction changes more than a label. STORZ & BICKEL’s medical support page lists MIGHTY+ MEDIC under DIN EN 60601 and says it is intended exclusively for medical use; availability and registration vary by country. The company’s medical-device overview names MIGHTY+ MEDIC and VOLCANO MEDIC 2 as its certified medical devices. It does not confer that status on the consumer MIGHTY+. A consumer review should therefore not call its temperature range “medical”, promise a therapeutic dose or imply insurance eligibility.
The remaining sections refer only to the consumer MIGHTY+ unless another model is written out in full. That narrow scope makes the specifications, warranty route and charging advice useful rather than blending incompatible documents.

Heating, chamber and temperature controls
STORZ & BICKEL describes the MIGHTY+ as using a combination of convection and conduction. Hot airflow and chamber contact both contribute, so “pure convection” would be inaccurate for this model. The manufacturer pairs that system with a ceramic-coated 1.4 cm³ filling chamber. Calling it a plain stainless-steel oven also misses the published construction.
The temperature can be adjusted between 40 and 210 °C with the plus and minus buttons and LC display. A double click activates the Booster and then Superbooster increments, which the product page describes as preset increases of 15 °C. The quoted heat-up time is about one minute at 180 °C. It is a manufacturer reference, not proof that every start at every ambient temperature, battery level and set point takes exactly sixty seconds.
These specifications describe capability, not sensory certainty. Draw pattern, material moisture, grind, fill, chamber condition and chosen temperature all affect an individual session. Claims such as “never causes coughing”, “always cool at the lips” or precise lip-temperature advantages over unnamed competitors require a disclosed test method and cannot be inferred from the cooling-unit design. Anyone who experiences coughing, chest discomfort or another adverse response should stop and seek appropriate medical advice.
Charging and pass-through: the conditions matter
The most common charging error is to shorten “80 % in approximately 40 minutes” to “fully charged in 40 minutes”. STORZ & BICKEL specifies the former when the MIGHTY+ is connected to a suitable Supercharger. Its support page calls for USB-C to USB-C, Power Delivery, 15 V at 3 A and a recommended 45 W output. Standard chargers may charge more slowly.
Pass-through is documented, but only conditionally. With a compatible Supercharger that supplies sufficient current, the batteries can be bridged and the display briefly shows dct to confirm the feature is active. The presence of a USB-C plug does not prove that a charger meets those requirements. If dct is not shown, the page should not tell a reader that pass-through is operating.
The integrated battery arrangement also limits what a source-based review can promise about ageing. The manufacturer overview lists two lithium-ion batteries and a capacity of 3,300 mAh, but does not publish the article’s previously repeated percentage loss after a particular cycle count or year. Heat, storage charge, charging power, depth of discharge and manufacturing variation all influence ageing. Without MIGHTY+-specific longitudinal measurements, exact degradation curves and a permanent flat repair price are speculation.
Everyday controls and the practical trade-off
The MIGHTY+ is built around direct controls rather than an app. The display shows set and actual temperature, and physical buttons handle temperature and boost steps. That makes its documented operating concept comparatively self-contained. Its 242 g weight and 14 × 8 × 3 cm body are portable in the literal sense, though buyers seeking a very small pocket device should compare dimensions rather than relying on the broad “portable” category.
One dosing capsule is listed in the current scope of delivery. That confirms first-party capsule support for the consumer MIGHTY+; it does not mean every third-party capsule or every S&B accessory is interchangeable across all products. The technical overview says most MIGHTY and MIGHTY+ accessories are interchangeable, while explicitly excluding power supplies and the 12-volt car charger. Exact accessory identity still matters.
The official product page publishes airflow at 10 litres per minute. That gives a manufacturer metric but not a universal rating for draw resistance. A dirty screen, compressed load or dosing capsule can change real airflow. Buyers should treat airflow numbers as device specifications measured under defined conditions, not a promise that everyone will perceive the same resistance.
Cleaning without invented time savings
Regular maintenance centres on the filling chamber, screens and cooling unit. STORZ & BICKEL says to switch the vaporizer off, disconnect it from power, disassemble the cooling unit and remove the filling-chamber screen before a deeper clean. The housing and USB-C cable are cleaned only with a dry, soft or slightly damp cloth. Screens should be brushed after use, and components should be inspected for cracks, softening, hardening, brittleness, contamination or discoloration.
Those part-specific instructions are more reliable than a blanket claim that every component can be soaked. They also do not support statements such as “90 % less cleaning”, a fixed number of hours saved per year or advice to consume collected residue. Cleaning frequency depends on load, temperature and use pattern. Use only the current manufacturer method for each component, keep liquid away from the electronics and let every approved cleaned part dry completely before reassembly.
Warranty: two years plus an optional year, not an unconditional three
The current S&B support article describes two years of statutory warranty and an optional one-year limited S&B warranty. MIGHTY+ must be registered within four weeks of purchase for that additional year, and valid proof of purchase is required. Country exceptions apply; the support article lists markets where the extra year is unavailable or subject to additional conditions.
That is best written as two years plus an optional one year, not simply “three-year warranty”. Warranty coverage also differs from paid repair. The manufacturer explains that covered defects within the warranty can be repaired through an RMA, while out-of-warranty or excluded cases may be eligible for a paid repair route. Availability, price and scope of that service can change, so an old universal repair price should not be preserved in a current review.
What the MIGHTY+ MEDIC distinction means for buyers
A buyer seeking a medically certified vaporizer should evaluate the separately named MIGHTY+ MEDIC through VAPORMED and the applicable healthcare route. STORZ & BICKEL says it is certified under DIN EN 60601 and may not be registered in every country. The medical page also documents a heat-conductive aluminium filling chamber, while the consumer product page specifies a ceramic-coated chamber. That alone shows why specifications must not be copied indiscriminately between the two variants.
Conversely, the consumer MIGHTY+ remains a well-documented household vaporizer with safety-compliance references on its own product page. Product compliance is not the same thing as medical-device status. Neither label permits VapoChecker to promise a treatment outcome, a precise delivered dose or an absence of irritation.
Source-based verdict: who should shortlist the MIGHTY+?
Shortlist it if you value direct button control, the documented 40–210 °C range, hybrid heating, the 1.4 cm³ ceramic-coated chamber, first-party dosing-capsule support and conditional pass-through with the specified Supercharger. The strongest purchasing case is the breadth and specificity of the current manufacturer documentation, not an undocumented story about years of VapoChecker use.
Look more carefully if low weight, user-replaceable batteries, guaranteed use with an existing low-power USB-C charger or medical certification are requirements. At 242 g with integrated cells, this is not the lightest or most serviceable battery format. The consumer model is not the MIGHTY+ MEDIC.
The defensible conclusion is narrower than a universal “best vaporizer” award. MIGHTY+ has a clearly documented hybrid system, controls and charging path. Whether that package justifies its delivered price depends on the buyer’s portability threshold, charger needs, warranty region and preference for an integrated battery platform.

Frequently asked questions
Is this review about the MIGHTY, MIGHTY+ or MIGHTY+ MEDIC?
It covers the consumer MIGHTY+. The original MIGHTY and separately certified MIGHTY+ MEDIC are different products and are not used as interchangeable sources here.
Is the consumer MIGHTY+ a medical device?
No medical status is claimed for it here. STORZ & BICKEL lists MIGHTY+ MEDIC, sold through VAPORMED, as the separately certified medical version.
Does MIGHTY+ fully charge in 40 minutes?
The manufacturer says a compatible 15 V/3 A, 45 W Supercharger can reach about 80 % in approximately 40 minutes. That is not a full-charge claim.
Can MIGHTY+ be used while connected to power?
Pass-through is documented with a compatible Supercharger that supplies enough current. The display should briefly show dct to confirm activation; an arbitrary USB-C charger is not sufficient evidence.
What is the MIGHTY+ chamber made from?
The consumer MIGHTY+ product page specifies a 1.4 cm³ ceramic-coated filling chamber. It should not be described as a plain stainless-steel oven.
How long is the warranty?
The current policy states two years plus an optional limited year when an eligible MIGHTY+ is registered within four weeks. Proof of purchase and country exceptions apply.
Does this article prove that MIGHTY+ prevents coughing or irritation?
No. It makes no universal health or comfort promise. Such outcomes vary and would require appropriate independent evidence; adverse symptoms warrant stopping use and seeking medical advice.
