Longer = cooler
The XL body extends the vapour path by around 3 cm. As a result, the vapour reaches the mouthpiece noticeably cooler. A good option for DynaVap users who find the standard M7 too warm when inhaling.
Research context: A study in the Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences (Hazekamp et al., 2006) showed that vaporisation at controlled temperatures releases over 95 % of the desired active compounds while largely avoiding combustion by-products. Source: PubMed 16637053
Same tip as the M7
The M7 XL uses the same tip and cap. All M7 features are included – improved airflow, click system and dosing capsule compatibility. Only the body is longer.
M7 XL vs. M7: Which length suits you?
The M7 XL is identical to the M7 — same tip, same cap, same click system. The only difference: 3 cm more body length. This extends the vapour path and cools the vapour noticeably.
Those who prefer short, powerful draws should choose the M7. Those with sensitive lips or who like to draw slowly will benefit from the XL format. Both are compatible with all DynaVap accessories.
Heating and technology
Heating works as it does with all DynaVap models: fit the cap, rotate it with the Jetflame lighter and inhale at the click. The M7 XL uses the same tip as the M7 — the heat-up time is 7 seconds.
Due to the longer Body, the lighter needs to be positioned slightly lower down. The grip remains cooler while heating than on the standard M7 because more metal distributes the heat.
How Do I Clean and Maintain My Vaporizer?
The M7 XL can be disassembled into three parts: cap, tip and Body. All parts are made from stainless steel and can be soaked in Isopropanol without any issues. Once a week, soak them in 99%-Iso for 10 minutes, run a pipe cleaner through them and you are done.
The O-rings on the tip last around 6 months with daily use. Replacements are included with every DynaVap delivery. No wearing parts, no battery — with proper care, the XL will last for years.
Accessories for the M7 XL
All M7 accessories also fit the XL: dosing capsules, titanium tips, WPA adapters (10 mm), Induction Heater and storage sleeves. However, due to its longer format, it does not fit in all DynaVap sleeves — the XL version of the DynaStash is recommended.
Using Butane on the go
The M7 XL requires neither electricity nor charging time — just a Jetflame lighter. This is an advantage over battery-powered devices on outdoor trips, at festivals or when flying (lighter permitted in hand luggage). At 45 g, you will barely notice it in your pocket.
Disadvantage: wind. Heating becomes difficult in strong wind. A storm lighter or angled Dynavap-Lighter helps.
Water pipe adapter (WPA)
The M7 XL has a 10-mm direct connection for bongs and Bubblers. Simply insert the Body into a 10-mm joint — no separate adapter required. A water filter cools the vapour even further, which is particularly pleasant with the XL format.
Cleaning & care
Regular cleaning keeps the M7 XL in top condition and ensures a clean flavour. After each session, clean the chamber with the brush and remove any loose residue. Once a week, clean the mouthpiece and vapour path with Isopropyl alcohol (min. 90%).
Cleaning intervals
| Component | Frequency | Method |
|---|---|---|
| Chamber | After each session | Brush, tap out |
| Mouthpiece | Weekly | Iso soak (15 Min) |
| Vapour path/screen | Every 2 weeks | Soak in Iso, rinse |
| Exterior of housing | As required | Damp cloth |
Avoid common mistakes
- Do not put water in the chamber — use Isopropyl or dry cleaning only
- Do not use sharp metal objects in the vapour path
- Replace screens in good time when draw resistance increases
What Are the Ideal Temperature Settings?
The right temperature for the M7 XL determines flavour, vapour density and active compound profile. Lower temperatures (170–185 °C) emphasise terpenes and deliver mild, aromatic vapour. Higher temperatures (195–210 °C) produce denser clouds and stronger effects.
Temperature zones at a glance
| Zone | Range | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Flavour | 170–185 °C | Mild, aromatic, little visible vapour |
| Balance | 185–195 °C | Good flavour with visible vapour |
| Dense clouds | 195–210 °C | Powerful vapour, more intense effects |
Practical tips
- Start at 180 °C and increase in 5-degree increments
- A finer Grind often requires a temperature 5–10 °C lower
- In cold surroundings, increase the starting temperature by 5 °C

Those who want cooler vapour without a bong will benefit from the longer body. Otherwise, the M7 and M7 XL are technically identical.
Yes, Induction Heater units heat only the tip – the body length makes no difference.
