The BB9 Glass Stem by DynaVap is a glass mouthpiece for the heating tips in the VapCap range. It replaces the standard metal tube and directs the vapor through a grooved glass body containing nine glass beads. These beads increase the surface area over which the vapor passes and cool it noticeably on its way to the mouth, improving the flavor compared with an all-metal pathway. The Stem is available in two color variants: Gray and Pink. The grooves on the outside of the glass body provide a secure grip when held. The mouthpiece end is tapered and fits 10-mm and 14-mm female joints on water pipes and bubblers. This allows it to be used either directly by hand or as a connector between the heating tip and a water device. The Stem is designed for titanium and stainless-steel heating tips and is therefore compatible with a wide range of DynaVap models, including the M, B1, J.P. Finley and BB3, as well as more than 33 other variants from the range.

Construction and material

The glass body of the BB9 Glass Stem has a grooved exterior that ensures a secure grip even with damp hands. Inside are nine glass beads that remain firmly fixed within the Stem. The mouthpiece end tapers to form a female joint that fits 10-mm and 14-mm openings. Glass does not impart any flavor of its own, allowing the natural flavor of the material being vaporized to come through.

Cooling with glass beads

The nine beads inside increase the contact area over which the vapor passes. This noticeably reduces the vapor temperature on its way from the heating chamber to the mouth, making deeper draws more comfortable and reducing heat irritation in the throat. The beads are firmly fixed in place and cannot be dislodged by shaking.

Compatibility

The Stem fits titanium and stainless-steel heating tips. Compatible devices include the DynaVap M, DynaVap M 2019 Aurum, DynaVap M 2019 Phantom, DynaVap B1, DynaVap J.P. Finley and BB3. In total, more than 35 models from the DynaVap range are compatible. No tools are required to replace the Stem.

Use with water devices

The tapered mouthpiece end fits 10-mm and 14-mm female joints commonly found on water pipes and bubblers. When used with a water device, the vapor is additionally cooled and filtered through water. To use it without a water device, hold the Stem directly in your hand, with the grooves on the glass body providing a secure grip.

Will the BB9 Glass Stem fit my DynaVap device?

It fits all DynaVap heating tips made from titanium or stainless steel. Compatible models include the DynaVap M from every year, the B1, J.P. Finley, BB3 and more than 30 other variants. It can be fitted onto the heating tip without any modifications.

What is the difference between the gray and pink variants?

The only difference is the color. Both variants have the same grooved glass body with nine glass beads and the same tapered mouthpiece end with 10-mm and 14-mm joints. Their function and compatibility are identical.

What is included in the package?

The package includes the BB9 Glass Stem. A heating tip or complete DynaVap device is not included. You need a separate DynaVap heating tip made from titanium or stainless steel to use the Stem.

How do I clean the Stem?

Glass can be cleaned effectively with isopropyl alcohol. Soak the Stem in an isopropyl alcohol solution to loosen residue from the glass beads and inner wall. Then rinse it thoroughly with clean water and allow it to dry completely before using it again.

Does glass taste different from metal when vaping?

Glass does not impart any flavor of its own, whereas metal can produce a slight metallic aftertaste when heated. The nine glass beads also cool the vapor, further refining the perception of flavor. Anyone sensitive to metallic notes will benefit from switching to a glass Stem.
