The Zenco Duo is a portable conduction vaporizer for dry herb and concentrates. Four temperature presets (180, 195, 210, and 220 °C), built-in 2,200 mAh battery, USB-C charging. The device weighs 957 g — far heavier than typical portables — and heats up in about 15 seconds.
Zenco positions the Duo as an all-in-one for both material types. Price comparison from around €110 across 18 shops.
Conduction Heating & Dual Chamber
The Zenco Duo uses conduction: the chamber wall heats material through direct contact. The standout feature: two separate chamber inserts — one for dry herb, one for concentrates — swap in seconds.
Heat-up takes about 15 seconds — faster than most conduction devices.
Four Temperature Presets
| Preset | Temperature | Vapor Profile | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 180 °C | Light, aromatic | Flavor, dry herb |
| 2 | 195 °C | Balanced, medium | Daily use |
| 3 | 210 °C | Dense, strong | Heavy extraction |
| 4 | 220 °C | Very dense, warm | Concentrates, max extraction |
Presets cannot be customized — for precise control, look at the DaVinci IQC or XMAX V3 Pro.
Dry Herb & Concentrates
The Zenco Duo is one of few devices supporting both material types without needing a separate unit.
Herb Insert
- Ceramic chamber for dry herb
- Holds about 0.3-0.4 g
- Best at 180-210 °C
Concentrate Insert
- Quartz or ceramic insert for waxes and oils
- Best at 210-220 °C
- Quick heat-up for instant vaporization
Both modes work well. For dedicated concentrate use, the Puffco New Proxy offers finer temperature control and an optimized chamber.
Battery & USB-C
The 2,200 mAh battery is built-in (not removable). It lasts 8-12 sessions depending on temperature and material. USB-C charging takes about 2 hours. Pass-through charging is supported.
Battery Comparison: Dual-Use Devices
| Model | Battery | Weight | Material | From |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Zenco Duo | 2,200 mAh | 957 g | Herb + Conc. | ~€110 |
| Puffco New Proxy | 1,680 mAh | 77 g | Concentrates only | ~€173 |
| DaVinci IQC | 3,000 mAh | 150 g | Herb only | ~€137 |
Weight & Design
At 957 g the Zenco Duo is significantly heavier than most portables. For reference: the IQC weighs 150 g, the V3 Pro 107 g. The weight comes from the solid ceramic heater and robust housing.
In practice, the Duo is technically portable but feels more like a compact desktop. Too heavy for a pocket — more of a home device with the option to take it along.
The housing is matte aluminum with black coating. Build quality is solid, the lid closes magnetically.
Vapor Path & Mouthpiece
The vapor path is ceramic — flavor-neutral and easy to clean. The mouthpiece attaches magnetically and removes for cleaning.
The short vapor path makes vapor quite warm at high temperatures. For cooler draws, use the lowest preset (180 °C) or an external water filter.
Zenco does not offer a raised mouthpiece or glass option — the standard ceramic mouthpiece is the only choice.
Cleaning & Maintenance
Cleaning Steps
- Remove chamber insert and soak in isopropanol (15 min)
- Remove mouthpiece and clean separately
- Wipe chamber with cotton swab and isopropanol
- Let all parts dry
- Clean concentrate insert more often (residue sticks harder)
Cleaning takes 10-15 minutes. With daily use, once a week. The concentrate insert needs more care — wax residue hardens at room temperature and requires warm isopropanol to dissolve.
Comparison: Zenco Duo vs PAX Plus vs DaVinci IQC
Three portables with different approaches:
| Feature | Zenco Duo | PAX Plus | DaVinci IQC |
|---|---|---|---|
| Heating | Conduction | Conduction | Conduction |
| Material | Herb + Concentrates | Herb + Concentrates | Herb only |
| Temperature | 4 Presets | 4 Presets + App | 121-221 °C (1°) |
| Battery | 2,200 mAh (fixed) | 3,500 mAh (fixed) | 3,000 mAh (18650) |
| Weight | 957 g | 146 g | 150 g |
| Warranty | 1 year | 2 years | 5 years |
| From | ~€110 | ~€175 | ~€137 |
The Duo wins on price and dual function. The PAX Plus is far lighter with a better app. The IQC offers precise temperature control and a removable battery but skips concentrates.
