Zenco Flow

The Zenco Flow offers four preset temperature levels between 182 and 221 °C. Each targets a different balance:

• Level 1 (182 °C): Low range for aromatic terpenes. Vapor is thin, flavorful, and barely visible. Best at the start of a fresh bowl when the aromatic compounds are still intact.
• Level 2 (~195 °C): Middle ground that balances flavor and vapor production. Most active compounds release at this range without sacrificing taste.
• Level 3 (~208 °C): Thicker clouds, stronger effects. Good for users who prefer more intensity or want to finish off partially extracted material.
• Level 4 (221 °C): Maximum. Dense, warm vapor with full extraction. Flavor gets harsher at this point, but cloud volume is at its peak.

You cycle through levels with a click. There is no app and no screen — temperature feedback comes through LED colors or haptic vibration. That keeps things simple. If you want precise degree-by-degree control, look elsewhere. But for most daily users, four presets cover the spectrum from terpene-forward to heavy extraction just fine.

85 grams. Let that sink in. The Zenco Flow weighs less than many lipstick vaporizers and yet it is a full convection device. The trick is the aerospace-grade aluminum shell — the same material used in aviation because of its strength-to-weight ratio. The result is a body that feels solid in your hand without dragging down your pocket.

The magnetic cap snaps into place with a satisfying click and holds the chamber sealed. No screw threads to wear out, no sliding mechanisms to jam. Cap off, load, cap on — done. In a pants or jacket pocket the Flow barely registers. It is no bigger than a chunky pen and disappears in your fist.

The compact form factor does come with one trade-off: the chamber is not huge. It is perfectly fine for solo sessions, but if you are sharing with a group, expect to reload more often. Still, for a device this small, the vapor quality is remarkable. If portability is your top priority and you can accept a smaller bowl, the Flow delivers serious performance in a package that almost vanishes on your person.

Inside sits a 1600 mAh battery that charges via USB-C. For a device weighing 85 grams, that is a respectable capacity. Because the on-demand heater only runs while you draw, the battery lasts longer than you might expect for a device this size. Two or three short sessions a day? You will get through the day without reaching for a cable.

Passthrough charging is not supported. That means you cannot use the Flow while it charges. For an on-demand device this is manageable, since USB-C charging times are reasonable. The battery is sealed inside and not user-replaceable.

Click-to-vape sums up the interaction. One click activates the heater. Haptic feedback — a short vibration — confirms the Flow has reached temperature and is ready for a draw. No holding down buttons, no waiting for LEDs to stop blinking. This kind of tactile confirmation is especially handy on the go, when you are not staring at the device. You can feel the vibration even through gloves.

At the two lower presets, the Zenco Flow produces clear, flavorful vapor with minimal visible cloud. At levels 3 and 4, clouds get thicker and the vapor noticeably warmer. Draw resistance is moderate — not as open as some desktop units, but lighter than many conduction portables.

The vapor path is short, which is unavoidable in a device this compact. That means vapor on the highest setting can arrive warmer than in larger devices with longer air paths. If you are sensitive to warm vapor, sticking to level 2 or 3 works well. Flavor on the first few draws of a fresh bowl is excellent — typical of convection devices that do not constantly cook the material.

The Flow has no water pipe adapter and no water filtration attachment. It relies entirely on the direct vapor path. For most users that is fine. If you absolutely need water cooling, you will need a different device. The Flow bets on compactness and speed instead, and in that combination it is hard to beat.

One benefit of on-demand convection: since the material is not heated continuously, the chamber stays cleaner than in session devices that simmer the herb for minutes at a time. That said, residue builds up in the vapor path over time, especially with frequent use at higher temperature settings.

The chamber itself is easy to brush out with the included cleaning tool. For the vapor path, a cotton swab dipped in isopropyl alcohol every few days does the job. The aerospace aluminum housing handles solvents without issue — no plastic parts that degrade on contact.

The magnetic cap lifts off completely for cleaning, giving you full access to the chamber opening. A thorough cleaning cycle takes under five minutes. If you clean the Flow regularly — ideally after every three or four bowls — the flavor stays fresh and the device lasts longer. Compared to vaporizers with nested vapor paths and hard-to-reach chambers, maintenance here is refreshingly straightforward.
