About this vaporizer
Universal Baller was the first model from Terp Chasers Club (USA): a ball vaporizer for a water pipe that could be operated wirelessly or with a cable. It is no longer manufactured; its successor is the Universal Baller V2.
The titanium ball chamber contained 2 mm rubies—around 750 with the quartz insert and about 1,000 without it. With the insert, the air only came into contact with quartz and glass. It was heated using a 25 mm, 200 W coil connected to a PID controller from Crossing Tech; the controller was included in the Full Kit.
The recommended temperature range was 254 to 321 °C for wireless operation and 204 to 299 °C with the cable. In testing, it took around eight minutes with the cable and ten minutes wirelessly for the head to heat through. The controller and coil came with a lifetime warranty; glass and quartz were excluded.

Construction and air path
The ball chamber was made of titanium and filled with 2 mm rubies: around 750 with the quartz insert and approximately 1,000 without it. With the insert fitted, the air touched only quartz and glass on its way to the herb. Without it, the device operated as a titanium ball vape. The kit included three titanium screens.
Controller, coil and temperature
Heating was provided by a 25 mm e-nail coil rated at 200 W connected to a PID controller from Crossing Tech. Both use Crossing wiring. The controller was included in the Full Kit (500 US dollars, 450 without the controller).
The recommended temperatures were 254 to 321 °C (490–610 °F) for wireless use and 204 to 299 °C (400–570 °F) with the cable, with a heat soak of 15 to 45 seconds. From cold, the review found that the head took around eight minutes with the cable and ten minutes wirelessly to heat through.
Differences from the V2
The Universal Baller V2 has an outer housing made of 444 stainless steel, with just one set of threads and a retaining ring. Terp Chasers Club provides a two-year warranty on the V2 controller and coil; the original had a lifetime warranty. The temperature ranges and coil remain unchanged.
