About this vaporizer

The CrossingTech Thermal Twist Injector sits at the more specialised end of the desktop e-nail market. The temperature range — 104°C to 532°C — is exceptional. Most e-nail controllers cap out around 400°C, and the low end of 104°C opens up truly low-temp dab territory for users chasing terpene-forward hits rather than sheer vapour volume.

Convection heating is what really sets this device apart. In the e-nail world, convection is rare — most systems use direct conductive contact between the coil and the nail surface. The Thermal Twist Injector's convective approach means hot air does more of the work, which tends to produce cleaner, more flavourful vapour especially at lower temperature settings.

Being a desktop unit, it runs from mains power. That means consistent, unlimited output without any battery degradation over time. Heat-up takes around 45 seconds, which is standard for this category. Water pipe compatibility means it works with most standard bangers and glass setups.

CrossingTech builds hardware for dedicated concentrate users — this isn't a casual entry-level device. The precision on offer here is the kind that experienced dabbers appreciate: full control over a wide thermal window, convective delivery, and desktop reliability. One year of warranty coverage is included.

For someone setting up a proper at-home concentrate station, the Thermal Twist Injector is a compelling option. It won't suit users looking for portability or simplicity. But for the enthusiast who wants to explore the full spectrum of dab temperatures — from delicate low-temp pulls at 150°C to high-heat vaporisation — this is one of the more capable tools available.

Key Facts — CrossingTech Thermal Twist Injector Desktop · Heating: Convection · Heat-up: 45s · Weight: 270g · From: €150 · Shops: 3
The CrossingTech Thermal Twist Injector is the ball-less version of the Twist range. Instead of a chamber full of ruby balls, it has a solid metal core with a spiral twist, along which the air is heated. It is also mains-powered with PID control and requires a water pipe — it is the most affordable entry point into this type of device.

Ball-less: solid core instead of a ball filling

"Ball-less" literally means: no balls. The Thermal Twist uses a continuous metal core incorporating a spiral twist. The air is guided along this spiral, extending its path and allowing it to absorb more heat than in a straight tube.

This very core later gave rise to the Ruby Twist: it was removed and the space was filled with cut rubies. Both devices therefore share the base, controller and bowl connection.

← Back to Overview
What does "ball-less" mean on the Thermal Twist? +

It means there are no balls inside the heating core. Instead, the air is heated against a solid metal core with a spiral twist.

Is the Ruby Twist worth the extra cost? +

The ruby filling provides faster vapour build-up and slightly more flavour. In terms of effects, the two are very close. The Thermal Twist is a good choice for anyone seeking the most affordable entry point.

Can I upgrade to ruby balls later? +

Yes. The Core-Head assembly is available separately, while the base and controller remain the same.

Is the Thermal Twist Injector intended for DynaVap? +

No. It is a standalone desktop device with its own bowl. It has nothing to do with DynaVap tips or induction heaters.

Do I need a water pipe? +

Yes, the vapour always passes through a water pipe. Size 14 or 18 ground-glass joints are suitable; the water pipe is not included.

How long does it take to heat up? +

Around 45 seconds to reach operating temperature.
