The 7th Floor Life Saber is a desktop convection vaporizer with a WPA port, dosing capsule support, and 3-year warranty. Heating up to 260°C in 90 seconds; the slim wand design and precise temperature control make it a favorite desktop among American vaporizer enthusiasts.
The Life Saber uses a ceramic heating element inside a glass tube. When inhaling, air is drawn over the hot ceramic and passed through the material. Unlike ball vapes, there are no balls — the ceramic heats the air directly. The vapor path is short and direct.
Handheld Use and Temperature
The Life Saber is held by hand over the herb material. The temperature is adjusted with a rotary dial. Depending on the distance from the material and the inhalation speed, the effective temperature varies. This gives the user intuitive control over vapor density.
7th Floor Glass Craftsmanship
Like all 7th Floor products, the Life Saber is handmade in Colorado. The glass tube is available in different colors and designs. The heating element is durable, and the glass can be replaced if needed. Power consumption is low thanks to the compact heating element.
Use with a Water Pipe
The Life Saber is designed for bong use. It is held directly over the bong bowl so that the vapor is filtered through the water. 14mm and 18mm adapters are available. It can also be used without a bong, but the combination is ideal.
How the Log Vaporizer Works
The Life Saber by 7th Floor belongs to the category of log vaporizers — compact cylindrical desktop devices that remain plugged in continuously. A ceramic heating element inside keeps the air at operating temperature. Unlike devices with a bag or whip, you inhale directly through a glass wand inserted into the heating opening. Thanks to its simple design without electronics or moving parts, the Life Saber is considered especially durable. Heat-up time is around three to five minutes, after which the device stays at temperature.
Glass Wand and Accessories
The Life Saber comes with a glass wand with a screen that holds the herb material. 7th Floor offers various glass wand versions, including models with colored glass or an extended mouthpiece. In addition, there are water-pipe adapters that allow the Life Saber to be connected to common glass pipes. The screen in the wand should be cleaned regularly with isopropanol to keep the airflow clear. Replacement screens cost only a few euros and can be swapped in seconds.
Durability of the Ceramic Heating Core
The ceramic heating core of the Life Saber is designed for continuous operation and can last for more than ten years when used properly. Ceramic conducts heat evenly without creating hotspots that would heat the material unevenly. Unlike metallic heating elements, ceramic does not release particles into the airflow, even after thousands of hours of use. The heat-up time of around two minutes is slightly longer than with metal coils, but the temperature remains more stable throughout the entire session. If vapor production decreases after years of use, this is almost always due to deposits on the screen rather than the heating element itself. Thorough cleaning with isopropanol restores the original performance.
