The 7th Floor SideKick V2 is a portable dry herb vaporizer with a built-in stirring mechanism, vortex cooler and glass mouthpiece. It runs on a replaceable 18650 cell (3100 mAh included) and offers 21 heat settings from 120 to 235 °C; after registration the manufacturer covers the device for one year and the heater for five years.
Compared with the original SideKick, the V2 runs on a single 18650 cell instead of two 18350 cells. The controls offer 21 heat settings from 248 to 455 °F (120 to 235 °C), and the chamber holds about 0.25 g.

Both versions share the stirring mechanism, vortex cooler, ceramic heater and glass mouthpiece. The manufacturer calls the V1 the value version and the V2 the refined build with expanded digital control.

In practice, the V2 means swapping one common 18650 cell instead of two smaller cells. Elev8 offers a second battery as an option at checkout.
The standout feature is the built-in stirring mechanism: a gear you turn with your thumb moves the herb in the chamber without taking off the lid. Because the heater keeps warming the load, the manual recommends stirring slowly between draws. After three to four hits, you should briefly remove the lid and tap the device lightly into your palm.
The vortex cooler extends the vapor path and also acts as a filter, but it tightens the draw. If you want an easier pull, take it out. After about 30 minutes in the freezer, it gives noticeably cooler vapor for one to two bowls according to the manufacturer.
The American glass mouthpiece is blown by Elev8 Premier's in-house glassblowers. It retracts into the body and can be swapped for a bubbler mouthpiece or an angled water pipe adapter, both sold by Elev8 as accessories.
You choose the temperature with the arrow buttons on a scale from 0.5 to 11, giving 21 settings between 248 and 455 °F. Pressing the power button starts heating, and the device vibrates once it reaches the target temperature. The display shows the setting, battery level, voltage and run time.
For herbs, the manual recommends settings 6.5 to 8, and 5 to 6 to start with. Lower settings give flavor for longer but thinner vapor; from setting 8 upward you need to stir well after each draw so nothing burns. According to the manufacturer, the battery is most efficient between settings 6 and 9, and heating takes longer above setting 10.
The SideKick V2 only vaporizes concentrates when a small amount is mixed with herbs. For concentrates alone, Elev8 points to a separate device.
The 18650 cell is charged in the included two-bay charger, and a protective cap for transport is in the box. The manufacturer advises against carrying batteries loose with coins or keys, replacing damaged cells right away and swapping them every 3 to 12 months depending on use.
In the box: SideKick V2 with stirring mechanism and vortex cooler, hand-blown glass mouthpiece, one 18650 cell with charger, cleaning brush with alcohol pads, small Phillips screwdriver, stainless steel pick, small tongs with scoop and a sample of coconut oil for the mouthpiece seal. A padded storage bag is included as well.
For cleaning, the device comes apart, and the stainless steel air path tubes are removable.
