The Zenco Duo is a portable conduction vaporizer for dry herbs and concentrates. Four temperature presets (180, 195, 210 and 220 °C), built-in 2.200-mAh battery, USB-C charging. The device weighs 957 g — significantly heavier than typical portables — and heats up in around 15 seconds.
Zenco positions the Duo as an all-rounder for both material types in one device. In the price comparison from around 110 € across 18 shops.

Conduction Heating & Dual Chamber
The Zenco Duo uses conduction: the chamber wall heats the material through direct contact. The standout feature is two separate chamber inserts — one for dry herbs, one for concentrates — which can be swapped in as needed.
Heat-up time is around 15 seconds — faster than most conduction devices. The ceramic heating element sits directly around the chamber and distributes heat evenly.
Four Temperature Presets
| Preset | Temperature | Vapour Profile | Recommendation |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 180 °C | Light, flavourful | Flavour, dry herbs |
| 2 | 195 °C | Balanced, medium | Everyday use |
| 3 | 210 °C | Dense, strong | Powerful extraction |
| 4 | 220 °C | Very dense, warm | Concentrates, maximum extraction |
The presets cannot be customised individually — if you need precise degree-by-degree control, the DaVinci IQC or XMAX V3 Pro is the better choice.
Research context: A study in the Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences (Hazekamp et al., 2006) showed that vaporisation at controlled temperatures releases over 95 % of the desired active compounds while largely avoiding combustion by-products. Source: PubMed 16637053
Dry Herbs & Concentrates
The Zenco Duo is one of the few devices that supports both material types without needing a separate device. Switching between the inserts takes seconds.
Herb Insert
- Ceramic chamber for dry herbs
- Holds approx. 0,3-0,4 g
- Optimal temperatures: 180-210 °C
- Session mode (constant temperature)
Concentrate Insert
- Quartz or ceramic insert for waxes and oils
- Optimal temperatures: 210-220 °C
- Fast heat-up for immediate vaporisation
In practice, both modes work solidly. For dedicated concentrate use, however, the Puffco New Proxy offers finer temperature control and a more optimised chamber.
Battery & USB-C
The 2.200-mAh battery is built in (not replaceable). It is enough for 8-12 sessions depending on temperature and material. Charging via USB-C takes around 2 hours. Pass-through charging is supported.
Battery Comparison: Dual-Use Devices
| Model | Battery | Weight | Material | Price from |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Zenco Duo | 2.200 mAh | 957 g | Herb + conc. | ~110 € |
| Puffco New Proxy | 1.680 mAh | 77 g | Concentrates only | ~173 € |
| DaVinci IQC | 3.000 mAh | 150 g | Herbs only | ~137 € |
The battery is adequate for this class of device. At 2.200 mAh, it sits between the Puffco New Proxy and the DaVinci IQC.
Weight & Design
At 957 g, the Zenco Duo is considerably heavier than most portables. For comparison: the IQC weighs 150 g, the V3 Pro 107 g. The high weight comes from the solid ceramic heating element and the sturdy housing.
In practice, that means the Zenco Duo is technically a portable, but feels more like a compact desktop device. It is too heavy for a trouser pocket — more of a device for home use with the option of taking it with you.
The housing is matte aluminium with a black coating. Build quality is solid, and the lid closes magnetically.
Vapour Path & Mouthpiece
The vapour path is made of ceramic — flavour-neutral and easy to clean. The mouthpiece attaches magnetically to the device and can be removed for cleaning.
The short vapour path makes the vapour fairly warm at higher temperatures. For cooler draws, the lowest preset (180 °C) or an external water filter is recommended.
Zenco does not offer a raised mouthpiece or glass option — the standard ceramic mouthpiece is the only choice. For some users that is a drawback, for minimalists it is exactly right.
How Do I Clean and Maintain My Vaporizer?
Cleaning Steps
- Remove the chamber insert and soak it in isopropyl alcohol (15 min)
- Take off the mouthpiece and clean it separately
- Wipe out the chamber with a cotton bud and isopropyl alcohol
- Let all parts dry
- Clean the concentrate insert more often (residue sticks more firmly)
Cleaning takes 10-15 minutes. With daily use, once a week is enough. The concentrate insert needs more care than the herb insert — wax residue hardens at room temperature and needs to be soaked in warm isopropyl alcohol.
Box Contents
Inside the Zenco Duo box:
- Zenco Duo device
- Herb chamber insert
- Concentrate insert

- Cleaning tool
- Replacement screens
- Quick start guide
Both inserts are included in the box — you do not need to buy anything extra to use both modes. The 1 year warranty is comparatively short — DaVinci offers 5 years, PAX 2 years.
