Triple Quartz Atomizer
Three quartz rods form the atomizer — more surface area for faster, more even vaporization. The wide chamber makes loading easy and produces dense clouds.
Adjustable Voltage
Four levels from 2.5 to 3.7 volts. The lowest is ideal for terpene-rich concentrates, the highest for waxy extracts. LED indicator shows the current level.
Battery & Endurance
1100 mAh battery with USB-C fast charging. Up to 1.5 hours of continuous use. Compact and discreet for on-the-go sessions.
Triple Quartz Coil Atomizer
The APX Wax V3 uses a triple quartz rod coil atomizer that provides a large heating surface for concentrates. Three rods mean more contact area per draw, which produces thicker vapour compared to single or dual coil pens. The quartz rods heat quickly — within 5 seconds of pressing the fire button — and they deliver clean flavour without the metallic aftertaste that some wire-wrapped coils can introduce. Loading is straightforward: use the included dab tool to place a small amount of concentrate directly onto the coils. A rice-grain size is enough for a satisfying draw.
Voltage Settings and Controls
The V3 offers three voltage settings cycled with triple-click: low for flavour, medium for balanced output, and high for maximum cloud density. For live resin and terp-rich concentrates, the low setting preserves delicate flavour compounds best. Wax and shatter perform well at medium voltage. The high setting is useful for thicker materials like crumble that need more energy to vaporise fully. The single-button interface keeps operation simple: five clicks for power, three clicks for voltage, hold to fire. LED colour indicates the current setting, and there is no screen or app to manage.
Build and Portability
The APX Wax V3 is compact at roughly 10 cm long and weighs about 65 grams. The body is made of zinc alloy with a matte coating that resists fingerprints. A silicone mouthpiece cap snaps over the top to prevent residue from leaking in your pocket. The device fits comfortably alongside a phone and keys without adding noticeable bulk. Pulsar includes a dab tool, a USB-C charging cable, and an extra set of O-rings in the box. The overall build feels solid for a sub-premium price point — no rattling or loose components when shaken.
Cleaning and Coil Maintenance
After each session, fire the device for 2–3 seconds without drawing to burn off residual concentrate from the coils. This prevents buildup from hardening and becoming difficult to remove later. Weekly, remove the mouthpiece and soak the small screen and drip guard in isopropyl alcohol for 10 minutes. The coils themselves can be gently cleaned with a cotton swab dampened in iso. Replacement atomizers should be swapped every 4–6 weeks with regular use — degraded coils produce less vapour and can develop off-flavours. Keep a spare atomizer in your carrying case so you are never caught with a dead coil.
