Desert and Storm are color variants of the Original. The new app-capable Proxy base is a separate generation; chambers must not be assumed to be interchangeable based on the Proxy name alone. One click changes the level, a double-click starts the heat cycle. The instructions describe gently wiping out the warm chamber after use. The chamber must be cooled down before disassembly and deep cleaning. For the chamber, the manual specifies soaking for 20 minutes in isopropyl alcohol of at least 90%, followed by complete air-drying — do not rinse with water. The glass is rinsed with water after a separate alcohol bath and dried completely. Clean the base only with a moistened cotton swab on the contacts and air path; never submerge it.

Puffco's OG Support lists a limited one-year warranty on the base and a one-month warranty on the chamber. Wear, misuse, and purchases from unauthorized retailers are not blanket-covered. A proof of purchase and Puffco's return authorization are required for a claim; retailer obligations and statutory rights remain separate.

The original is an option for buyers looking for a device with four presets and no app who find a suitable remaining-stock offer. Anyone who needs app control or accessories from the new generation must choose the new base and verify compatibility. Compare the total price including shipping, condition, chamber generation, and included glass rather than going by color or product name alone.
