What Are Ball Vapes?

Ball vapes use hundreds of heated balls made from glass, ruby, or stainless steel to bring air to vaporization temperature as it flows through. The large surface area of the balls stores heat and releases it evenly — this principle is called thermal mass extraction. Unlike conduction vaporizers where material sits directly on a hot plate, or pure convection devices with a single heating element, ball vapes distribute energy across hundreds of contact points simultaneously.

The result: extremely dense clouds and full flavor from the very first draw. Many users report that a single hit from a ball vape delivers as much vapor as an entire session with a portable device.

Desktop vs. Cordless

Most ball vapes are desktop devices with mains power and PID temperature controllers. A PID controller maintains the set temperature with single-degree precision — crucial because ball vapes operate at 260–370 °C and every degree affects flavor. Popular desktop models: QaromaShop Ceroma, Herborizer Ti, and FlowerPot B2.

Since 2024, cordless ball vapes exist too: the CrossingTech WOHW uses a battery with a 16 mm coil, while the Vapvana All-Star Cordless features a wireless dock system. Ball Material: Ruby, Glass, or Ceramic?
