Ceramic Housing with Ruby Pearls

According to QaromaShop, the Ceroma has a glazed ceramic housing that is harder than stainless steel but less dense. Inside sits a chamber that directs the airflow and is filled with 3mm ruby pearls. The pearls store the heat from the heating coil and transfer it to the air flowing through, which then passes through the herb.

Heating and Use

Heating is done via a heating coil connected to a PID controller, where you set the temperature; it is drawn through a water pipe. In its FAQ, QaromaShop recommends 600 to 700 °F for the Ceroma and Taroma, which is approximately 316 to 371 °C. The manufacturer does not specify a heat-up time, as it depends on the coil and controller.

Maintenance

The ruby pearls can be removed for cleaning, soaked in isopropyl alcohol, then rinsed and allowed to dry. The ceramic housing is hard but can break like any ceramic if dropped.

Mainly the housing: the Taroma is made of titanium, the Ceroma of ceramic. Both work with 3mm ruby pearls.
