The replaceable 18650 battery is the most striking feature - if you have a second cell with you, you can easily swap it on the go and have virtually unlimited battery life without having to rely on a socket. This is not a given for a device in this price range.
The battery normally has a capacity of 3200 mAh, which is enough for several sessions without replacing it. Passthrough charging is also on board, so you can use the device while charging. The heat-up time is 35 seconds - this is absolutely normal for a conduction device with such a large battery. The maximum temperature is 240 °C and therefore covers the entire range of use for dry herbs.
Water filter compatibility is also present. With the right adapter, the Pro S Premium can be connected to bongs and water pipes, which cools and filters the vapor. This increases comfort significantly and is a feature that is not a given in the budget segment. Dosing capsules are also supported, allowing for cleaner sessions and making cleaning easier.
The workmanship is solid, although not at the level of high-end devices. With the Pro S Premium, Focusvape has clearly focused on price-performance, and the device does what it promises. Die Konduktionsheizung erreicht Temperaturen von 80-240 °C in fünf Stufen. Der herausnehmbare 18650-Akku sorgt für unterwegs nachladbare Flexibilität -- ein Ersatzakku reicht für einen zweiten Durchgang.

Titan-Kammer und Glasmundstück
Das Upgrade gegenüber dem Standard-Pro-S betrifft vor allem die Heizkammer aus Titan. Titan ist leichter als Edelstahl, leitet Wärme gleichmässig und gibt keine Fremdstoffe an den Dampf ab. Die Kammer fasst rund 0,25 g fein gemahlenes Kraut -- genug für eine Session.
Das Glasmundstück ersetzt das Kunststoffteil des Basismodells. Glas beeinflusst den Geschmack nicht und lässt sich in Isopropanol einlegen, um Rückstände zu entfernen. Ein Ersatz-Mundstück aus Kunststoff liegt ebenfalls bei, falls das Glas unterwegs zu empfindlich ist.
Der Luftweg führt vom Boden der Kammer durch einen kurzen Kanal ins Mundstück. Ein feinmaschiges Sieb verhindert, dass Pflanzenteile in den Mund gelangen. Das Sieb ist austauschbar und sollte alle zwei Wochen gereinigt werden.
Fünf Temperaturstufen: 80-240 °C
Der Pro S Premium bietet fünf voreingestellte Temperaturstufen. Stufe 1 beginnt bei 80 °C (Aromamodus), die höchste Stufe erreicht 240 °C (intensive Dampfproduktion). Die Aufheizzeit liegt bei rund 30 Sekunden auf die mittlere Stufe.
Per Knopfdruck wird zwischen den Stufen gewechselt. LEDs am Gehäuse zeigen die aktuelle Temperaturstufe farblich an. Eine automatische Abschaltung nach 5 Minuten verhindert versehentliches Überhitzen.
Die tieferen Stufen eignen sich für geschmacksbetonte Sessions mit wenig sichtbarem Dampf. Stufe 4 und 5 erzeugen dichtere Wolken, verbrauchen das Material aber schneller. Ein Start bei Stufe 2 (ca. 180 °C) und schrittweises Hochschalten über die Session ist die übliche Vorgehensweise.
Austauschbarer 18650-Akku
Der Pro S Premium nutzt einen herausnehmbaren 18650-Lithium-Ionen-Akku. Die Kapazität liegt bei 2500 mAh und reicht für etwa 5-7 Sessions pro Ladung. Ein Ersatzakku kostet wenige Euro und verlängert die Nutzungsdauer unterwegs deutlich.
Geladen wird über Micro-USB. Die Ladezeit beträgt rund 3 Stunden über das Kabel. Alternativ lässt sich der Akku in einem externen 18650-Ladegerät schneller laden -- solche Ladegeräte laden in 1-2 Stunden und schonen den Akku langfristig.
Der austauschbare Akku ist ein Vorteil gegenüber fest verbauten Zellen. Nach 300-500 Ladezyklen lässt die Kapazität jedes Akkus nach. Beim Pro S Premium wird einfach ein neuer 18650 eingesetzt, statt den gesamten Vaporizer zu ersetzen.
