About this vaporizer

The Utillian 723 is a full convection portable from Canadian brand Utillian, built around a glass vapor path and a chamber design that works through material evenly rather than just burning the surface. Pure convection means the herb only heats when you're actively drawing — hot air is pulled through the chamber by your inhale, not by constant contact with heated walls. That's better for flavor, better for session-by-session consistency, and better for users who like to take a few draws and put the device down.

The glass vapor path is clean-tasting and easy to maintain. Many portables in the mid-range use some plastic or metal in the airpath, and while that's not a dealbreaker, glass gives a noticeably purer taste that shows up especially at lower temperatures where terpenes are most present. The temperature range of 180°C to 225°C covers the practical sweet spot for most herb vaporization.

Warmup takes around 45 seconds, which is about average for convection. The vibration feedback when target temperature is reached is a small but genuinely useful detail — you don't have to watch the screen or guess when the device is ready. The dosing capsule system makes loading on the go cleaner and faster. Fill a few capsules at home, drop them in as needed, and the chamber stays much cleaner between sessions.

The 2300mAh battery handles eight to ten sessions per charge, with passthrough charging available for longer days. Build quality is solid and consistent, which has historically been one of Utillian's stronger selling points — they tend to ship devices that work as advertised without early failures. Two years of warranty backs that up. For the price, the 723 delivers a genuine convection experience without asking for flagship money.

Key Facts — Utillian 723 Portable · Heating: Convection · Heat-up: 45s · Battery: 2300 mAh · Weight: 179g · From: €108 · Shops: 6

The Utillian 723 is a pure convection portable vaporizer in the mid-range price bracket. That alone is noteworthy — most portables under 170 EUR use conduction or hybrid heating because it is cheaper to manufacture. Utillian (the house brand of Canadian retailer TVape) delivers a device with a ceramic chamber, OLED display, and a borosilicate glass mouthpiece. Four temperature presets from 180 to 225 °C, a 2600 mAh battery, and USB-C charging round out the specs.

In practice, the 723 sits between budget portables and established mid-range units like the Arizer Solo 3. It offers features you rarely find at this price, but also has trade-offs — the lack of fully adjustable temperature control being the most obvious. Pure Convection at a Mid-Range Price

Convection means hot air flows through the herb rather than heating it through contact with a hot wall. The result is typically a cleaner-tasting vapor with fewer toasted notes. That said, "convection" gets used loosely in marketing — the ceramic chamber of the 723 inevitably heats up during warm-up, and herb touching the walls does get some contact heat.

Still, airflow is the primary heating mechanism here, and you can taste it. At lower temperatures (180–195 °C) the vapor tastes noticeably cleaner than what you get from conduction devices in the same price range. At 225 °C the difference narrows as the chamber walls radiate more heat.

The trade-off with convection: heat-up time. 30 to 40 seconds is noticeably longer than the 15–20 seconds a hybrid heater like the Boundless CFX needs. If you want instant vapor, you will notice. If you prioritize flavor, the wait is worth it.

Research context: A study in the Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences (Hazekamp et al., 2006) showed that vaporisation at controlled temperatures releases over 95% of target compounds while largely avoiding combustion by-products. Source: PubMed 16637053

← Back to Overview
Is the Utillian 723 truly a pure convection vaporizer? +

Primarily, yes — heating works through hot air flowing through the herb. In practice, the ceramic chamber does heat up during warm-up, so herb touching the walls gets some contact heat. This happens with virtually all "pure convection" portables and is not unique to the 723.

Can I set a custom temperature? +

No. The 723 offers four fixed presets: 180, 195, 210, and 225 °C. There is no degree-by-degree adjustment like on the Arizer Solo 3. For most users the four steps are sufficient, but fine-tuners will want a different device.

How long does the 723 take to heat up? +

About 30 to 40 seconds, depending on the selected temperature. That is slower than hybrid heaters (15–20 s) but typical for pure convection heating.

How many sessions does the battery last? +

The 2600 mAh battery delivers roughly 6–8 full sessions (5 minutes each). Lower temperatures get you closer to 8, maximum heat closer to 6. USB-C charging takes about 90 minutes.

Does passthrough charging work? +

Yes. You can use the 723 while it is plugged into USB-C. Useful when the battery runs out mid-session.

Can I use the Utillian 723 with a water pipe? +

Yes, with a WPA adapter (sold separately). Remove the mouthpiece, attach the adapter, and connect to any 14 mm or 18 mm water pipe joint.

Who makes Utillian? +

Utillian is the house brand of TVape, a Canadian online retailer. TVape also sells other brands, but Utillian devices are available almost exclusively through TVape and their partner shops. Similar concept to Zeus, which also belongs to TVape.

Is there an app for the Utillian 723? +

No. The 723 has no Bluetooth and no app. All settings are controlled via the device buttons. The OLED display shows current temperature and battery level.

What is included in the box? +

The package contains: glass mouthpiece, USB-C charging cable, cleaning kit, and loading tool. A WPA adapter for water pipes is not included and must be purchased separately.

How do I clean the Utillian 723? +

Soak the glass mouthpiece in isopropyl alcohol (90%+) and rinse. Brush out the ceramic chamber with the included brush. Clean every 5–10 sessions to keep the flavor fresh.
