About this vaporizer
The Volcano Medic is the medically certified version of the desktop classic from Storz & Bickel and the predecessor of the Volcano Medic 2. As with the classic Volcano, a convection heater produces hot air that flows through the filling chamber and pushes the vapour into a detachable balloon (Easy Valve system); a hose can be used instead. The temperature range runs from 40 to 230 degrees Celsius and is shown digitally. Unlike the Medic 2, the original has neither a touch display nor app or Bluetooth connectivity — control is purely by buttons and readout. A liquid pad lets you vaporise oils and liquid concentrates as well as herbs. As a medical device, the Volcano Medic was built for reliable, repeatable dosing. It has since been discontinued and replaced by the Medic 2; the filling chamber and hose set of the new generation do not fit the original.
