Operation & Use

The Crafty+ from Storz & Bickel is the brand's most compact vaporizer. It has just a single button – temperature control runs entirely via the Storz & Bickel App. Hybrid heating, dosing capsules and USB-C make it an ideal pocket companion.

1. First charge

Connect the Crafty+ using the USB-C cable. The 3200-mAh battery needs around 2 hours for a full charge. The LED on the device flashes while charging and lights up green when fully charged. Note: the Crafty+ has no pass-through charging. You need to wait until it is charged.

2. Install and connect the app

Download the Storz & Bickel App (iOS/Android) and activate Bluetooth. Switch on the Crafty+ (hold the button for 3 seconds) and pair it with the app. Without the app, you can only switch between the standard temperature (180 °C) and boost (195 °C, long button press). The app gives you access to the full range of 40–210 °C and custom presets.

3. Fill the chamber

Twist off the cooling unit. Grind your herb medium-fine and fill around 0,15 g – or use a dosing capsule. Fill loosely, do not pack it down. Reattach the cooling unit and let it click into place.

4. Power on and draw technique

Hold the button for 3 seconds. The LED shows the heating phase: red = heating up, green = target temperature reached. Heat-up time is around 60 seconds. Draw slowly for 10–15 seconds. For Boost mode, hold the button again for 3 seconds during the session – the LED changes to blue and the temperature jumps to 195 °C.

5. After the session

The Crafty+ switches off automatically after 1 minute without a draw. Alternatively, hold the button for 3 seconds. Let it cool down, twist off the cooling unit, tap out the chamber and brush it clean. Soak the cooling unit in isopropyl alcohol every 5–10 sessions.

App not installed – Without the app, you are limited to 180 and 195 °C. The app is essential for full access.
Chamber too full – Air needs to flow through. Fill loosely, never pack it down.
Trying to vape while charging – No pass-through. Fully charge the battery first, then get started.
Forgetting Boost mode – Many people do not realise that a long button press adds 15 °C. At the end of a session, that gives you a proper extra cloud.
Not maintaining the cooling unit – Resin builds up quickly. A clogged cooler = restricted draw and poorer flavour.
