The QaromaShop Zaroma Lite uses zirconia balls, the hardest material in the QaromaShop lineup. Zirconia withstands extremely high temperatures and has very high thermal conductivity. An engineering ceramic material (ZrO2) that is harder and denser than ordinary ceramic. It stores more heat and lasts longer.
Zirconia is flavor-neutral like ceramic but with more stable temperature. Steel can carry a slight metallic taste at high temperatures.
