Zirconia Balls

The Zaroma Lite uses zirconium oxide (ZrO2) balls — an engineering ceramic denser and harder than standard ceramic. Zirconia stores more heat per volume and releases it more slowly. The result: more consistent vapor throughout the session with less temperature drop between draws.

Research context: A study in the Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences (Hazekamp et al., 2006) showed that vaporisation at controlled temperatures releases over 95% of target compounds while largely avoiding combustion by-products. Source: PubMed 16637053

What is zirconia? +

An engineering ceramic material (ZrO2) that is harder and denser than ordinary ceramic. It stores more heat and lasts longer.

How does zirconia taste compared to steel? +

Zirconia is flavor-neutral like ceramic but with more stable temperature. Steel can carry a slight metallic taste at high temperatures.

Heat-up time? +

3-5 minutes for the zirconia balls.

Joint size? +

14mm. 18mm adapters available.

What does Lite mean? +

More compact form with fewer balls than the full version — ideal for solo sessions and smaller bongs.
