Ceramic Balls as Heat Storage
The Ceroma uses ceramic balls that distribute heat particularly evenly. Ceramic has high thermal capacity with moderate conductivity, resulting in a softer vapor profile compared to steel or titanium. The balls are electrically heated and release stored energy into the air as you inhale. This pure convection process extracts compounds gently without combustion.
Temperature and Usage
Temperature is adjusted steplessly via a PID controller. The usable range spans 150 to 230 degrees Celsius. Heating the ceramic balls takes roughly 3-5 minutes. For best flavor, many users start at 170 and gradually increase to 210. Herb material sits in a glass screen above the balls.
Build and Materials
The vapor path consists of glass and ceramic only — no metal or plastic in the airway. The housing is compact and sits stable on the table. Ceramic balls can be removed for cleaning by soaking in isopropanol. Glass parts are available as replacements from QaromaShop.
Water Pipe and Connections
The Ceroma features a 14mm ground glass joint that fits standard water pipes directly. Combining ceramic convection with water filtration produces exceptionally mild draws. A glass mouthpiece for direct use without a water pipe is included. An adapter is available for 18mm joints.
