Lookah Seahorse 3.0

Unlike chamber pens, nothing is loaded into the Seahorse: preheat with the button, dip the glowing tip into the concentrate jar, and inhale through the mouthpiece at the same time. Dosing is controlled directly by the duration of contact — only what the tip touches is vaporized. This makes the Seahorse 3.0 particularly efficient and leaves no half-vaporised residue in a chamber.

The 3.0 accepts the established Seahorse coils — either quartz for flavor ("Quartz = Taste" is how Lookah advertises it on the packaging) or ceramic for even, slightly milder heat. Two replacement coils are included, the coil system is compatible with predecessor models, and replacements are inexpensive to buy.

The most frequent criticism of the Seahorse Pro and Pro Plus was the resin-clogging air path. With the 3.0, Lookah explicitly promotes the redesigned construction with "Easy to clean": the airflow is routed more directly, the transparent magnetic cap protects the tip in a pocket and replaces the screw thread. Regular wiping after each session remains essential, however.

Pressing the button cycles through 3.2, 3.6, or 4.1 volts — low for terpenes, high for quick, dense draws. A preheat mode is also available for thicker concentrates. The 500-mAh battery lasts through a day of occasional use depending on the level chosen, and charges via Type-C; a cable is not included, as is typical for Lookah.

At a list price of 44.99 US dollars, the Seahorse 3.0 is the most affordable route to an electric dab straw from an established manufacturer. It is aimed at users who want to vaporize concentrates directly from the jar, without a rig, torch, or chamber loading.
