The Katalyzer Mini is a wax pen for concentrates. Katalyzer lists distillates, rosin and extracts made using supercritical CO2 or butane. The concentrate sits directly on the heated surface and vaporizes through contact heat. Apply only a small amount, as too much material will overflow and impair the flavor.
The glass vapor path carries the vapor through a short glass tube to the mouthpiece. Glass is flavor-neutral, so the vapor tastes cleaner than with devices that use a plastic or silicone path. The Mini is not intended for dry herbs.
