High Labs Trippy 2

Cleaning should be done every 3 to 5 sessions so that the conduction chamber keeps its flavour. You need: isopropanol (90 % or higher), cotton buds, kitchen roll, and a bit of patience.

1. Carefully pull out the glass tube — grip the groove at the mouthpiece end with your fingernails. Place it straight into the iso cup.
2. Remove the mouthpiece and place it into a second iso cup.
3. Pull off the bottom piece and place it into the same cup.
4. First wipe out the chamber dry (with a cotton bud, scraping away the coarse residue), then dip a second cotton bud in iso and trace along the walls. Important: do not let any iso run into the electronics.
5. After 10 to 15 minutes, remove the glass tube from the iso and rub it dry with kitchen roll — it should not soak for longer than 30 minutes, especially the silicone seal part, as substances may leach out.
6. Let all parts dry completely before reassembly. Run the first heating cycle without material so that any iso residue can evaporate.

After around five minutes of drying time, the Trippy 2 is ready again — the brown terpene deposits are completely gone.

High Labs built the Trippy 2 based on community feedback from the first generation. The key differences at a glance:

Battery: 1800 → 2600 mAh (+30 % runtime, from around 9 to around 12 sessions).
Charging speed: 75 % faster via USB-C — an 18-W power supply is sufficient.
Vibration feedback: new — indicates the target temperature, so there is no need to read a display.
Temperature distribution: the five presets (160 / 175 / 190 / 205 / 220 °C) are spaced more evenly — even level 1 delivers more active compounds than the old minimum.

Retained are the ceramic chamber, the isolated glass vapour path, the stainless steel body, and the 1 year warranty. The same operating concept (one button, no display) means that anyone familiar with the Trippy 1 will feel at home immediately.

The Wiesi (a hybrid with a convection element) delivers an easier draw — you inhale with almost no resistance. The Trippy 2 requires more lung power because pure conduction devices do not actively drive the airflow. In return, the Trippy 2 is simpler: no learning curve, no on-demand timing, no draw-strength calibration. In the hands-on test, flavour and cloud production are on a par — the Wiesi scores for pure convection clarity, while the Trippy 2 scores for vapour density from draw 1. If you are looking for a quick conduction vape with a cool glass vapour path in the 80- to 90-euro range, the Trippy 2 is the better choice. If you want convection comfort, stick with the Wiesi (or look at the Crafty+ / Mighty+).

The 2600-mAh battery is enough for around 80 minutes of continuous use or about 12 sessions. Charging is via USB-C, 75 % faster than the predecessor — a standard power supply with 18 W or more is sufficient. Pass-through vaping is not specified; if the battery is low, plug it in briefly first, then continue vaping. The five presets cover the full range: 160–175 °C for flavour sessions, 190–205 °C for a balance of aroma and clouds, 220 °C for maximum vapour density. Heat-up time is ~25 seconds, after which the vibration signal indicates readiness. Battery level is shown by the LED dot display in four stages — no percentage value, but practical enough.

At 36 × 24 × 123 mm and only 90 g, the Trippy 2 fits into any trouser pocket — noticeably lighter than a Mighty+ or Volcano. The stainless steel body feels solid, and the matte printed finish (the "eye in lotus" logo) is scratch-resistant. The chamber holds a maximum of 0.25 g, but performs best with 0.15 to 0.2 g — enough for an 8- to 10-minute session without stirring. Box contents vary by shop: USB-C cable, cleaning set (brush, cotton buds), spare screens, and sometimes a carry case. Reviews describe the packaging quality as mediocre — functionally tidy, but without a premium unboxing feel.
