How to Make ABV Gummy Bears
ABV gummies are one of the most popular cannabis edibles — easy to dose, portable, and tasty. This recipe uses ABV-infused oil as the base, so no decarbing needed.
What is ABV?
ABV stands for “Already Been Vaped” — it’s the cannabis left over after vaporizing. Because it’s already been heated, the decarboxylation process is complete and the cannabinoids are active. You can use ABV directly in recipes without any additional heating.
Ingredients
- 1 large package orange Jell-O
- 1½ cups orange juice
- ½ cup honey
- ¼ cup ABV-infused oil
- 4 packets unflavored gelatin
- ½ cup cornstarch
- Silicone gummy molds
- Saucepan and whisk
Instructions
- Combine Jell-O and 1 cup of orange juice in a medium saucepan.
- Add the honey and ABV-infused oil. Heat slowly over low heat, stirring frequently.
- In a small bowl, mix the 4 gelatin packets with the remaining ½ cup of orange juice. Let sit for 5 minutes.
- Add the gelatin mixture to the saucepan. Cook over low heat for 5–7 minutes, whisking constantly.
- Pour the mixture into silicone gummy molds or mini paper cups.
- Allow to cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- Remove from molds and toss each piece with a small amount of cornstarch to prevent sticking.
Tips
- Use ABV coconut oil or ABV olive oil as your infused oil base — both work well in this recipe.
- Pour the mixture quickly once it’s done — it sets fast. Have your molds ready.
- Store finished gummies in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
