How to Make ABV Coffee
ABV coffee combines the caffeine kick with the relaxing effects of already vaped cannabis for the perfect slow morning. The coconut oil acts as the fat carrier that makes the cannabinoids absorb properly.
What is ABV?
ABV stands for “Already Been Vaped” — it’s the cannabis left over after vaporizing. Because it’s already been heated, the decarboxylation process is complete and the cannabinoids are active. You can use ABV directly in recipes without any additional heating.
Ingredients
- ABV (finely ground)
- Coconut oil (small amount)
- Your favourite coffee grounds
- Keurig machine with reusable filter cup
Instructions
- Grind your ABV as finely as possible in a small blender or grinder.
- In a small cup, mix a small amount of coconut oil with your finely ground ABV. Start with less than you think you need.
- Add your favourite ground coffee to the reusable Keurig filter cup.
- Add the ABV-coconut oil mixture on top of the coffee grounds.
- Insert the filter cup into the Keurig and brew as normal.
- Add cream and sugar to taste. Sip slowly — the drink will be hot.
Tips
- Sip slowly. Between the caffeine and ABV, it can hit faster than expected.
- Coconut oil is essential here — it binds to the cannabinoids so they absorb properly.
- Start with a very small amount of ABV your first time. You can always add more next time.
