ABV Cannabutter Brownies
Cannabutter brownies are the classic cannabis edible — rich, chocolatey, and easy to make from a standard box mix. The only difference from the regular recipe: you swap regular butter for ABV cannabutter.
What is ABV?
ABV stands for “Already Been Vaped” — it’s the cannabis left over after vaporizing. Because it’s already been heated, the decarboxylation process is complete and the cannabinoids are active. You can use ABV directly in recipes without any additional heating.
Ingredients
- 1 box brownie mix
- ¼ stick ABV cannabutter (see ABV cannabutter recipe)
- 1 egg
- ¼ cup water
- 9×9 inch baking pan
- Mixing bowl
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C).
- Crack 1 egg into the mixing bowl.
- Add the ABV cannabutter to the bowl.
- Add the brownie mix and ¼ cup of water.
- Mix all ingredients together thoroughly until smooth.
- Pour the brownie batter into the 9×9 inch baking pan.
- Bake at 325°F for 12–14 minutes.
- Allow to cool before cutting into portions. Start with one small square.
Tips
- Bake at a slightly lower temperature than the box suggests (325°F vs the typical 350°F) to protect the cannabinoids from degrading.
- Let the brownies cool completely before eating — they firm up as they cool.
- Cut into 16 small squares for easy, consistent dosing.
