The Stundenglass x Cookies is a limited collaboration between Californian gravity infuser maker Stundenglass and cannabis lifestyle brand Cookies. Two glass globes rotate 180° and use water displacement to create kinetic airflow – no electricity needed. The butane bowl heats by convection up to 230 °C. Gravity instead of power: how it works
The Stundenglass principle relies on two glass globes connected by a central axis. When you rotate the device 180°, water flows from the top globe to the bottom. This creates a vacuum that pulls air through the heated herb bowl. Vapor collects in the upper globe and is released through the mouthpiece on the next rotation. No battery, no plug – just a lighter for the bowl.
Cookies edition: branding and package
The Cookies edition wraps the standard Stundenglass in the brand's signature look. Custom colourway, logo engraving, and Cookies-themed packaging set it apart visually. The gravity mechanism itself is identical to the standard version. In the box: aluminium herb bowl, silicone hose, glass mouthpiece, and cleaning kit.
Butane convection heating
The herb bowl is heated from below with a jet lighter. Hot air passes through the material – pure convection. It takes about 5 seconds to reach temperature. You control heat by adjusting flame distance and duration. There is no built-in thermometer, so a bit of practice helps dial in the sweet spot.
Hookah mode and versatility

Functionally, the internals are unchanged — same borosilicate globes, same aluminum body, same bowl system. The collaboration adds collector appeal and a slightly higher price tag. Replacement globes from the standard Stundenglass fit this edition without modification.
Glass Globe Maintenance
Both glass globes collect resin over time, especially along the waterline. A weekly rinse with isopropyl alcohol and coarse salt keeps them transparent. For stubborn buildup, fill each globe halfway with 91% ISO, plug the openings, and shake for a minute.
The silicone gaskets that seal the globes to the frame should be inspected monthly. If a gasket starts to harden or crack, the vacuum seal weakens and vapor density drops. Stundenglass sells replacement gasket kits for around 15 EUR.
