QaromaShop Staroma 2.0 is the stainless steel version (SS316) of Taroma 2.0 and, according to the manufacturer, is intended for anyone who is allergic to titanium or prefers SS316. The gemstone chamber contains 3-mm ruby pearls and is heated by a 20-mm heater coil connected to the PID controller. The DIY kit includes the coil, controller, glass adapter bowl, and stand.

A raised step in the housing is designed to stabilize the heating coil and provide better contact. The ground joint is slightly shorter, allowing the bowl to hold a little more. According to QaromaShop, the Staroma 2.0 was designed for powerful draws.
The built-in Gemstone Chamber controls airflow and retains heat better due to its additional mass. It is filled with Aroma Pearls; QaromaShop currently offers only 3-mm ruby pearls. The chamber should not be operated empty or overfilled.
Like the latest version of the Taroma 2.0, the Staroma 2.0 has an additional ledge for a 14-mm screen. Without the screen, fill the Gemstone Chamber to the end of the ground joint; with the screen, fill it only to the height of the Taroma OG, before the ground joint. According to the manufacturer, one package containing 165 ruby pearls may not be enough for a full fill; QaromaShop then recommends purchasing an additional package.
The housing accommodates a standard 20-mm heating coil of the type also used in coffee machines. Only coils measuring 20 mm, with 5 turns and clockwise winding, are compatible. The coil connects to the PID controller via a five-pin XLR connector, allowing you to regulate the temperature. The manufacturer prohibits modified or incompatible coils.
QaromaShop does not specify a recommended temperature or heat-up time for the Staroma. After extended operation, the stand becomes as warm as a bowl of hot soup; according to the manufacturer, briefly touching it is safe.
The DIY kit includes the SS316 housing, a glass Adapter Bowl in the Deep, Short, or Dimpled Short shape (with a 14- or 18-mm ground joint, or both), the fitted 20-mm coil, the PID controller with a US or EU plug, a coil handle made from Walnut StabWood, a porcelain stand, one package of 3-mm ruby pearls, 17-mm stainless steel screens, a spoon, and a stirring tool. An SS316 Adapter Bowl is optionally available, and you can choose between 110 V (US) and 220 V for the power supply.
A glass piece with a matching 14- or 18-mm connection for the Adapter Bowl is not included in the package contents. QaromaShop excludes warranties and returns; only items that arrive defective or damaged will be handled if you contact the company within 24 hours and provide a photo or video.

QaromaShop recommends it for people with titanium allergies, anyone who prefers SS316, and users who want large clouds and powerful draws. According to the manufacturer, anyone who is sensitive to flavor should choose the Qaroma or Ceroma instead.
