About this vaporizer
The Hitoki Saber is a laser-combustion device and the portable version of the desktop Hitoki Trident. Instead of a butane flame or heating coil, the Saber uses a Class-1 precision laser that creates a tiny ember in the herb; as you draw, the ember spreads. It is operated in three steps following the "Load. Lock. Light." principle. Three colour-coded settings cover different materials: blue (hottest) for concentrates, green for denser blends and red for drier flower. As a modular device the Saber carries a 14 mm and 18 mm fitting, so it attaches to virtually any bong or bubbler. It charges via USB-C; a single charge lasts around 60 sessions under normal use, and the battery is fully charged in about 45 minutes. The housing is made from aircraft-grade materials and a ceramic loading chamber is included. Priced at around 250 to 300 US dollars, the Saber is a premium device for anyone wanting to combine the ritual feel of a bong with clean, flameless laser ignition.

It combusts it. The laser replaces the flame, not the combustion — it produces smoke, not vapour. The benefit is that no butane burns with it.
The Saber uses a Class-1-Laser, which is considered eye-safe during closed operation. The beam works inside the chamber, not openly.
No. A charged battery is enough — that is exactly the point of the device.
Around 60 uses with the 500-mAh-Akku, slightly fewer at higher heat levels.
The laser hits the centre with pinpoint accuracy. If you stir the bowl once in between, the edge also burns evenly.
With the supplied 14/18-mm-Adapter, it fits the vast majority of water pipes.
