The NonaVonG is a historic standard NonaVonG: faceted wood body, titanium tip, Adjust-A-Bowl and direct 14 mm fit. It uses hybrid external heating without a battery. The NonaVonG was sold in three versions. The standard version comes without a mouthpiece. The NonaVonG S adds a spinning mouthpiece and, according to the historic variant list, has the same length. The NonaVonG XLS matches the S but is about one inch longer. This page covers the standard version only; specifications of the current VonG or the Omni models do not apply here.
The midsection is faceted wood, sold in Darkwood, Lightwood and Blackwood. The tip and the adjustable bowl (Adjust-A-Bowl) are titanium; according to the retailer description the bowl holds roughly 0.025 to 0.1 g. The click cap is stainless steel. The same source states that the NonaVonG was made in the USA and shipped with a plastic tube case and a manual. We do not publish an exact overall length because retailer figures disagree.
The faceted wooden body fits a 14 mm female joint, so no extra adapter is needed. The joint should be deep enough for the wood to sit securely. Airflow is set with the airport, an opening in the body that you cover or uncover with a finger. The NonaVonG has no Omni airflow control adjusted by turning a mouthpiece.
The NonaVonG has no battery and no display. You heat the cap with a lighter, torch or compatible induction heater; a click tells you it has reached working temperature, and you then take the heat away. The historic retailer description gives a range of about 150 to 230 °C, which you influence through where and how long you heat. DynaVap describes the extraction as a mix of conduction and convection. How long it takes to click depends on the cap, the heat source and your technique.
The NonaVonG is mostly sold as remaining stock today. Before buying, check the exact name (standard without mouthpiece, not S or XLS), the wood tone, the condition and the contents. The price and details given by the shop are what counts.
