The Dani Fusion 2.0 by Battery-Free Ganz (BFG) is a mechanical butane vaporizer with no battery and no electronics. Heat comes from outside: either from a jet lighter or from the optional induction heater BFG Flare. The core component is the stainless steel cap with two embedded silver rings. They store the heat and distribute it evenly across the cap, so the device does not need to be rotated during heating.
According to the manufacturer, the Fusion 2.0 operates as a hybrid of approximately 60% convection and 40% conduction. With a jet lighter, it is ready in around 15 to 25 seconds. How long it takes in any given case depends on the lighter, the distance of the flame from the cap, and the surroundings: wind and cold extend the heat-up time.
The device can be disassembled into cap, tip, screen, O-rings, stem, and mouthpiece, and every part can be replaced individually. BFG offers several stems, including ones made from wood with a stainless steel inner tube and from metal. The Fusion 2.0 is aimed at anyone who wants to vaporize independently of batteries and power outlets, and who is prepared to find the right heat point through a little practice.
