CrossingTech Ruby Twist Heating Coil 20mm

The CrossingTech Ruby Twist Heating Coil 20mm is the replacement heating coil for the Ruby Twist and the Ruby Twist Pro by Crossing Technology. Both devices heat their head via a 20mm coil connected to a PID controller, which reports its temperature back through a built-in thermocouple. If the original coil deteriorates after many heating cycles, the cable is damaged, or you want to set up a second build, you simply replace the coil and keep the controller, head, and bowl. The coil has five windings and sits inside a braided Kevlar sleeve that protects the cable from heat and abrasion. It connects via a five-pin XLR plug. CrossingTech offers it in 110 volts for North America and 220 volts for Europe, the United Kingdom, and Australia. For use in the UK, the 220-volt version is the right choice. The pin assignment is critical: the coil works with controllers from Auber, Disorderly Conduction, and all others with an identical pin assignment. It will not work with controllers that use a different XLR wiring, such as those from High Five. An incorrect pin assignment can permanently damage both the coil and the controller.
