What Changed from the VB1?
The main upgrade: the VB1.5 uses a ground glass joint instead of the VB1's rubber fitting. This makes the whip connection tighter and more airtight. The VB1.5 also works hands-free — the whip stays in place on its own. Everything else about the heating system remains the same.
Convection Heating & Whip
Like the VB1, a ceramic element heats air through convection. Air passes through material in the glass connector. The vapor path is glass and silicone — no plastic. The stepless temperature dial stays. Heat-up is about 3 to 5 minutes.
Hands-Free Operation
Thanks to the ground glass fitting, the whip connector locks firmly into the heater unit. You can let go of the tube and it stays put. This makes longer sessions more comfortable and prevents the connector from sliding out mid-draw.
