Portable convection vaporizer from 2017 for herbs and concentrates: four presets from 170 to 210 °C plus a 5 °C boost, 2100 mAh battery, roughly one minute to heat up. Replaced by the 721; the comparison lists remaining stock.
The Utillian 720 was, in 2017, the first convection vaporizer from TVape's house brand and was repeatedly compared in reviews to the considerably more expensive Crafty. Four temperature levels from 170 to 210 °C can each be raised by 5 °C via Boost, a 2,100 mAh battery lasts around 90 minutes according to tests, and the chamber accepts a wax container in addition to herbs. The anodized aluminum body features a rubberised surface. Utillian has replaced the model with the 721; remaining stock appears in the comparison. On VapoChecker you can compare current prices from verified shops.
Hot air flows through the material rather than a chamber wall heating it. In 2017 that was rare at this price point, and the reason several reviews pitted the 720 against the Crafty from Storz & Bickel. The vapor is regarded as smooth and aromatic on the lower levels; at 210 °C Leafly describes it as noticeably harsher. Heat-up takes around one minute, and the LED stops blinking once the chamber is ready. The anodized aluminum shell with its rubberised surface remains comfortable to hold even after two sessions, according to test reports.
Eight levels via one button
Five clicks turn the 720 on; two clicks change the level: green stands for 170 °C, blue for 180 °C, violet for 190 °C, and red for 210 °C. Holding the button down activates Boost mode and raises the selected level by 5 °C, giving eight settings in total. There is no degree-precise selection or display. After brief inactivity, the power-saving mode switches the device off — something Leafly cites as one of its few weaknesses, as the session must then be restarted.
Herbs and concentrates
A concentrate container is included for waxes, which is placed inside the herb chamber. Reviews rate the concentrate performance as solid but not a strength of the device; herb performance remains the reason to buy. The mouthpiece is magnetically attached and can be removed for cleaning; Which parts are included cannot be fully confirmed with the evidence available here. In the packaging were the vaporizer, tweezers, wax container, brush, USB cable, and the screen set with O-rings.
Comparison with the Utillian 721
At launch the 720 cost 219 US dollars in North America. In 2019 the Utillian 721 followed, with the same operating logic and the same four base levels, but with a 2,300 mAh battery, an aluminum heating chamber, and a swivel mouthpiece. Anyone choosing between the two today gets more refined mechanics with the 721; the 720 is only worthwhile if a retailer is offering remaining stock at a significantly lower price. The prices in the comparison come from individual shops that still carry the model and may represent clearance stock.
