Utillian 50

The Utillian 50 is aimed at users of pre-filled 510 cartridges who want a light, affordable battery without menus. It does not heat herb or wax directly: the heating element sits in the cartridge, and the battery simply supplies the voltage. Anyone expecting a device with its own chamber is in the wrong place – concentrate pens and herb vaporizers with a dedicated chamber are available in the price comparison for that purpose. Other 510 batteries in the catalog include the CCELL Palm and CCELL Silo.

Utillian specifies four fixed settings: 2.6 V, 3.0 V, 3.4 V, and 3.8 V. The manufacturer does not provide a temperature in degrees – with a 510 battery, the cartridge determines how hot its heating element gets at a given voltage. Lower settings are gentler on thin oils and emphasize flavor; higher settings are intended for viscous cartridges and drain the battery more quickly. The multi-color LED button at the base of the device shows the status.

The Utillian 50 uses a draw sensor: as soon as it detects a draw, it automatically heats to the selected voltage setting. The single button is used for adjustments, not for heating itself. A double-click starts the preheat function, which according to Utillian runs for up to 15 seconds at a lower voltage – intended for viscous oils or cold cartridges before the first draw.

The battery holds 310 mAh, placing it among the smaller 510 batteries. Charging is via USB-C; Utillian states approximately 60 minutes to reach 100%. Whether the device can be used while charging is not disclosed by the manufacturer. Utillian also does not specify the number of draws per charge – this depends on the setting, draw length, and cartridge.

The Utillian 50 accepts 510-thread cartridges via two included magnetic adaptors (one large, one small): the cartridge is screwed into the adaptor and inserted magnetically. Two manufacturer figures exist for the width: the product text states cartridges up to 10.5 mm in diameter, while the specification table on the TVape manufacturer store states up to 13 mm (approximately 1.1 ml). If in doubt, measure your own cartridge. A cartridge is not included in the stated box contents.

According to Utillian, the housing is made from ABS plastic with a lacquered finish. The weight is approximately 22 g; the manufacturer does not publish the length or diameter. Utillian provides a one-year limited warranty. When comparing prices, the final price including postage and the shop's return policy are therefore the most important factors.
