The Stundenglass x Grateful Dead from Stundenglass is a limited special edition of the Gravity Infuser featuring iconic Grateful Dead artwork. The device uses gravity filtration: water flows between two chambers, creating controlled negative pressure that draws vapor through water. Functionality is identical to the standard Stundenglass -- the difference is Grateful Dead branding on the globes.
Stundenglass built its reputation on the patented gravity system. With 3 shops in the price comparison, this collector's edition is available across Europe.

Gravity Infusion: The Stundenglass Principle
The Stundenglass works through gravity filtration: two stacked glass globes are filled with water. When the device is flipped, water flows from the upper to the lower chamber, creating negative pressure in the upper globe. This suction draws air through the heated herb chamber and fills the globe with filtered vapor.
The device is then flipped back -- water pressure gently pushes the vapor up through the hose to the mouthpiece. This two-phase process (fill and deliver) produces dense, water-cooled vapor without active drawing. The vapor comes to you -- not the other way around.
Water filtration cools the vapor and removes particles. Compared to traditional bongs that require lung power, the gravity mechanism delivers consistent airflow on every rotation.
Grateful Dead: Limited Edition
The Grateful Dead Edition differs from the standard Stundenglass only in design. The glass globes feature the iconic Steal Your Face logo and Grateful Dead artwork. The technical foundation is identical: same heating element, same globe size, same aluminum frame.
As a limited run, this edition targets collectors and fans of the band. Availability is restricted and pricing sits above the standard model. The globes are interchangeable -- those who want to preserve the collector globes can store them and use standard replacement globes daily.
The packaging includes a certificate of authenticity in addition to the standard contents. The aluminum housing in the Grateful Dead edition is black anodized with subtle branding details on the frame.
Build and Operation
The Stundenglass consists of an aluminum frame with two removable glass globes (each ~600 ml capacity). The stainless steel herb chamber sits on top and is heated by a ceramic bowl. A flexible silicone hose delivers vapor to the mouthpiece.
Operation: fill the chamber, light the bowl or activate the electric heater, rotate the device 180 degrees and wait for the upper globe to fill with vapor. Then flip back -- vapor is pushed through the hose. The full cycle takes 15-20 seconds.
The Stundenglass is sizeable: ~45 cm tall, ~4 kg. This is a statement piece for the table, not a portable device. Build quality is high -- CNC-machined aluminum, stainless steel ball joints, borosilicate glass globes.
