Upgrade Over the Smono 4
The Smono 4 Pro adds a larger battery and improved mouthpiece over the base Smono 4. Same OLED display, same five-click power-on. The bigger battery delivers about two extra sessions per charge compared to the standard model.
3000 mAh Battery
With 3000 mAh, the Smono 4 Pro manages six to eight sessions per charge — about 40 percent more than the Smono 5 and its 2100 mAh. USB-C charging takes two and a half hours. Passthrough charging supported.
Ceramic Chamber
The ceramic conduction chamber heats material evenly. Max temp sits at 221 C — slightly below the Smono 5's 230 C but enough for most users. Temperatures between 180 and 200 C deliver flavorful vapor with decent clouds. Chamber holds about 0.15 to 0.2 g.
Value for Money
Smono 4 Pro vs Smono 5
The Smono 5 is the newer model with USB-C and a refined display. Its max temp is 230 C (4 Pro: 221 C). But the 4 Pro has the bigger battery: 3000 vs 2100 mAh. Choose the 4 Pro for endurance, the 5 for newer tech and higher temps.
Temperature Control via Display
The Smono 4 Pro features precise temperature control through its OLED display. The range spans 160 to 221 degrees in single-degree steps. That level of precision is uncommon at this price point -- many competitors rely on fixed presets instead of stepless adjustment.
Low temperatures around 170-180 degrees produce light, flavorful vapor. The mid-range around 190-200 degrees balances taste and cloud size. Above 210 degrees, extraction intensifies but flavor gets rougher. 185 degrees is a solid starting point.
Cleaning Tips
Brush out the chamber after each session while the device is still slightly warm. Dry herbs are easier to remove before the unit cools completely. Once a week, soak the mouthpiece in isopropanol for 15 minutes.
Clean the vapor path with the included cleaning brushes. Regular maintenance keeps the flavor clean and prevents airway clogs. Stubborn residue in the chamber comes off with an alcohol-soaked cotton swab.
Pro vs Standard Model Differences
The Smono 4 Pro upgrades several areas compared to the base Smono 4. The battery increases from 2200 mAh to 2600 mAh, adding roughly two extra sessions per charge. The Pro model also features a full OLED display with single-degree temperature control instead of the standard version's preset system, giving you more precise heat management across the 160–220°C range. Build quality sees improvements too, with a zirconia ceramic mouthpiece that stays cooler during use and a more refined airpath that reduces draw resistance noticeably.
