Ruby Twist Pro vs WOHW V2: Wired or wireless?

Two ball vapes, one manufacturer, completely different approaches. The Ruby Twist Pro is a wired injector for relaxed sessions from 205.57 € incl. shipping. The WOHW V2 (Wireless One Hit Wonder) heats its head in the dock and lets you use it without a cable for one or two massive draws, but costs from 294.95 € incl. shipping. Neither has a battery: With the WOHW, only the head is cable-free during the draw, while the dock remains connected to the mains via the PID controller. Both are made by Crossing Technology in Shenzhen (China). The question is not which one is better. It is how you prefer to vaporize.

Design & concept

The Ruby Twist Pro is a classic ball-vape injector. It sits on the table, remains connected by cable and is brought up to temperature via a PID controller. The titanium housing holds 155 ruby balls, which heat up evenly. You inhale through it, the hot balls transfer their heat to the air and the herb is gently extracted. Session after Session. No rush.

The WOHW V2 works differently. Ruby balls in a heating head made from SS316 stainless steel or titanium store heat for one large draw. You place the head in the docking station’s 25-mm coil, which is connected to the mains via a PID controller, wait around five minutes for the balls to heat through, remove it and place it on the bowl. One or two draws. Then it goes back into the dock and is ready again after 30 to 60 seconds. That sounds spartan, but that is precisely the point.

Performance & vapor quality

Both deliver pure convection vapor. The ruby balls are the secret: They retain heat better than glass beads and release it more evenly. The flavor is excellent with both.

The difference lies in the Ritual. The Ruby Twist Pro supports 330 °C and longer sessions. You can take several draws in succession, adjust the temperature and take things slowly. It is ideal for people who enjoy a 10-minute Session.

The WOHW V2 compresses everything into a single draw. More and larger balls than in the Ruby Twist Pro store considerably more heat. The result is an extremely dense, milky hit. Anyone coming from bongs will immediately feel at home. Anyone who prefers slow sessions will not warm to it.

The reviewers at Troy & Jerry crown the Ruby Twist Pro the “best budget ball vape” and the stainless-steel WOHW the “best budget cordless ball vape” (Source).

Price & availability

The WOHW V2 costs noticeably more than the Ruby Twist Pro. If price is your sole consideration, the Ruby Twist Pro is the right choice. If you want the bong experience without a cable attached to the head, the WOHW is worth the premium.

Conclusion: Who should buy which one?

Buy the Ruby Twist Pro if you:

• Are looking for a solid desktop ball vape for under 250 €
• Prefer relaxed multi-hit sessions
• Want to use higher temperatures of up to 330 °C
• Do not mind having a cable

Buy the WOHW V2 if you:

• Do not want a cable attached to the head while drawing (the dock and PID remain plugged into the mains)
• Want one or two powerful draws per heating cycle
• Come from bongs and are looking for that experience
• Are prepared to spend from 294.95 € incl. shipping

Both are powerful ball vapes from CrossingTech. The Ruby Twist Pro offers better value for money. The WOHW V2 has the more innovative concept. Neither is wrong — they are simply different.

Setup, cleaning & everyday practicality

The Ruby Twist Pro is a compact ball vape with ruby balls at its core. The ruby balls provide excellent heat retention and pure-tasting vapor. Cleaning: ISO alcohol, soaking every 3–5 sessions, no special tools required. Its compact design makes it one of the easiest ball vapes to handle.

The WOHW V2 stands out with its wireless heating head: No cable is attached to the head during the draw. However, the dock with PID controller remains plugged into the mains, so the device is not portable. There is no battery and nothing needs charging. Cleaning is similarly straightforward.

Both require a water pipe or glass adapter. Daily users benefit from a stand or holder for the head — it prevents scorch marks and makes the cleaning routine easier. The Ruby Twist Pro is well supported by its manufacturer when it comes to accessories.

Frequently asked questions

Can the WOHW V2 also be used with a cable?

Yes, with an accessory: Crossing offers a Wireless-to-Wired Conversion Kit. As standard, the head heats up in the dock’s coil and is removed for the draw.

How many sessions can the Ruby Twist Pro handle in one sitting?

As many as you like. It remains connected by cable and maintains a constant temperature via the PID controller. Switch it off when you are finished.

Do I need additional accessories?

For both, you need a glass piece or an adapter (WPA) to filter the vapor. Most users use a small bong or bubbler. This is standard for ball vapes and is not included.

What is the difference between Ruby Twist Pro and WOHW V2?

The Ruby Twist Pro is a wired ball-vape injector for relaxed sessions from 205.57 € incl. shipping. The WOHW V2 (Wireless One Hit Wonder) heats its head in the mains-powered dock and lets you use it without a cable for one or two massive draws, from 294.95 € incl. shipping. It does not have a battery. Session versus a single hit.

What is a ball-vape injector?

An injector electrically heats ruby or ceramic balls and directs hot air through the herbs. Unlike traditional desktop vaporizers with a hose or balloon, the injector is inserted directly into a glass piece or bong. The principle produces dense, flavorful clouds.

Who is the WOHW V2 better suited to?

Users who want the bong experience: one or two dense draws without a cable attached to the head. It is not suitable for use on the go, as the dock and PID controller require a mains socket. Those who enjoy long, relaxed sessions at the table will get better value from the Ruby Twist Pro.

Does the WOHW V2 have a battery?

No. Despite „Wireless“ being in its name, the WOHW V2 has no battery and does not charge anything. The heating head stores heat in its ruby balls; it is heated in the dock, which is connected to the mains via the PID controller. After one or two draws, it goes back into the dock for 30 to 60 seconds.

Do I need additional glassware for these devices?

Yes, both require a compatible glass piece (14mm or 18mm joint). A simple bong or bubbler is sufficient. Some users use a dry glass adapter without water. The glassware is not included and must be purchased separately.
