The Linx Hermes 3 is a slim concentrate pen from Linx Vapor that relies entirely on draw activation — there's no fire button to hold. You simply inhale and the device heats up automatically. That makes it one of the most discreet and effortless concentrate pens available, with essentially no learning curve.
The ceramic coil heats to operating temperature in 3 seconds, topping out at 230°C. That's a moderate ceiling — high enough for most waxes and oils, but restrained enough to keep terpene-rich extracts from burning off prematurely. Linx's decision to cap the temperature here gives the Hermes 3 a clear flavor-first character that distinguishes it from devices chasing maximum heat.
The 290mAh battery is the obvious tradeoff for the ultra-slim form factor. Light users will find it adequate; heavier daily use will mean frequent charges. USB-C handles the charging side, which at least keeps things convenient. The metal housing is well-made and feels more substantial than the thin profile suggests, which is a genuine plus at this price point.
Maintenance is straightforward: the ceramic tip cleans up easily with an isopropyl alcohol swab, and a brief heat cycle after use burns off residual material. No complicated disassembly required. The one-year warranty from Linx is standard for the category.
The Hermes 3 is a well-executed pen for concentrate users who prioritize simplicity, vapor quality at moderate temperatures, and a build that feels worth the money. If you need adjustable voltage, an app, or extended battery life, look elsewhere. For low-fuss, flavor-oriented concentrate vaping in a genuinely portable form, it's a strong choice.
The magnetic 510 adapter is the standout feature: cartridges are not screwed in but simply placed on top and held by a magnet. That saves time and protects the threading. With verified shops in our price comparison, European availability is solid.

The defining feature of the Hermes 3 is its magnetic 510 adapter. Instead of threading cartridges in, a small magnetic ring is placed on the cartridge base. Then the cartridge simply drops into the device -- the magnet holds it securely in place.
The benefit is twofold: swapping is noticeably faster than with conventional threading, and the cartridge thread is protected from wear. That matters most for users who switch cartridges frequently. The magnetic ring is small enough to stay permanently attached to a cartridge.
Multiple magnetic rings are included in the box, so several cartridges can be prepared in advance. The hold is strong enough for everyday use but not so strong that removing a cartridge requires effort. For anyone who regularly switches between different oils or flavors, the system saves real time.
At the bottom of the Hermes 3 sits a dial ring for voltage adjustment. Three levels are available, distinguished by colored markings:
| Level | Voltage | Use Case |
|---|---|---|
| Low | 2.7 V | Flavor-focused, thin oils |
| Medium | 3.3 V | Balanced, most cartridges |
| High | 3.8 V | Maximum vapor, thick oils |
The lowest setting works best with thin oils and distillates that vaporize easily at low heat. Medium viscosity performs well on level 2. Thicker oils or CO2 extracts benefit from the highest level for consistent vapor production.
The dial clicks into each position with tactile feedback -- accidental adjustment in a pocket is unlikely. This mechanical control is an advantage over devices that rely solely on button clicks for voltage selection.
The Hermes 3 ranks among the slimmest 510 batteries available. The cylindrical aluminum housing has a diameter barely larger than the cartridge itself. In a shirt pocket or handbag, the device goes unnoticed.
Build quality is clean: no sharp edges, no burrs, no play between components. The matte finish resists scratches and fingerprints. Anyone who values a discreet device will find the Hermes 3 a solid match.
Despite its slim form factor, the device is robust enough for daily use. The cartridge protrudes from the top, reinforcing the pen-like appearance. For discreet on-the-go use, the Hermes 3 is one of the better options in its class -- form and function align well.
The Hermes 3 is operated by a single button. Five clicks power the device on and off; the button is held during each draw. That is standard for 510 batteries and requires zero learning curve.
The built-in battery charges via Micro-USB. A full charge takes under an hour. Capacity covers a day of normal use -- heavy users should top up in the evening. An LED on the button shows approximate charge level.
Automatic safety shutoff after inactivity is included. The device also shuts down on short circuit or overload. These are standard features expected from quality 510 batteries -- on the Hermes 3, they work reliably.
The Hermes 3 works with all standard 510 cartridges. That includes most pre-filled oil cartridges available in retail. Cartridges up to roughly 12 mm in diameter fit the device without issue.
Compared to other 510 batteries in the same price range, the Hermes 3 offers two distinguishing features: the magnetic adapter and the mechanical dial ring. Most competitors use button-based voltage selection, which is less intuitive.
Comparison with similar 510 batteries:
| Device | Magnetic Adapter | Voltage Control | Highlight |
|---|---|---|---|
| Linx Hermes 3 | Yes | Dial ring, 3 levels | Magnetic quick-swap |
| CCELL Palm | No | None (fixed voltage) | Autodraw |
| Yocan Uni Pro | No | OLED, stepless | Wide cartridges |
With 6 shops in the price comparison, the Hermes 3 is easy to shop around for. Users who swap cartridges often will benefit from the magnet system more than from the cheapest alternative.
