The routine is that of a ball vape, not of a chamber vaporizer. For heating, the housing sits in the coaxial 25 mm coil on the docking station. Only once the rubies have taken on the heat does it come out and go onto the titanium bowl.

Heating is by convection: incoming air picks up the energy stored in the rubies and passes it to the material, with no heating element touching the herb. With no cable attached during the draw, the housing can be steered freely over a water piece.

What the name does not mean is portable use. Socket, PID controller and docking station stay connected throughout, and there is no battery.

The housing ships pre-filled with 520 gem-cut synthetic rubies. They are the heat store of the system: the more mass is up to temperature, the steadier the draw stays, even when you pull hard.

The maker lists the materials as grade 2 titanium, stainless steel, synthetic gem-cut rubies, borosilicate glass and Viton for the seals. That is the usual combination for this class of device — titanium where it gets hot, glass in the vapour path, Viton as a heat-resistant seal.

A water filter is required to cool the vapour but is not part of the kit. If you do not own one yet, budget for it.

The Freelyzer ships as a complete kit: the docking station with the coaxial 25 mm heating coil, the cordless housing with the rubies already installed, the titanium bowl, and the PID controller plus accessories.

That covers everything needed to run it, with the noted exception of the water filter. The PID controller sets the temperature; as with every ball vape, the value you dial in describes the coil and the housing, not the temperature reaching the herb. Actual extraction temperature sits below it.

The Freelyzer shares its architecture with the CrossingTech Wireless One Hit Wonder: 520 gem-cut rubies, a 25 mm coil, a cordless housing, a PID on mains power. The match is close enough that both very likely come off the same manufacturing platform and are sold under different brands.
