How It Works and the Technology

The Poby Model L uses an induction field to heat the metal cap of a DynaVap vaporizer. The principle is familiar from induction hobs: an alternating current generates a magnetic field that creates eddy currents in the cap and therefore heat. Heat-up time is around 8 to 12 seconds, depending on the cap and the desired temperature. Compared with a classic jet flame, the heat distribution is more even, resulting in a more consistent vapour experience. As usual, a click mechanism on the DynaVap signals when the right temperature has been reached.
