About this vaporizer
The Dr. Greenthumb's x G Pen Connect is a limited co-branded edition of the G Pen Connect that Grenco Science released in 2021 with Cypress Hill rapper B-Real. The hardware matches the standard model: an 850 mAh battery with three voltage settings, a ceramic heating element and a heat-up time of about 5 seconds for concentrates on a bong or glass rig. The edition stands apart through its green and gold design with Dr. Greenthumb's decals, a branded hemp travel case and a higher list price of $199.95.
The edition differs from the standard Connect through its green-and-gold design with Dr. Greenthumb's decals and a dedicated case made from hemp material. The premium of approximately 50 US dollars brings no technical advantages — the run is aimed at collectors and Cypress Hill fans. It is barely available through regular retail any more, so comparing prices across the remaining shops is doubly worthwhile.
Technology of the G Pen Connect
Under the hood sits the unchanged G Pen Connect: a ceramic heating element with approximately 5 seconds of heat-up time, an 850-mAh battery with three voltage settings and pass-through charging, allowing the device to be charged whilst in use. The one drawback: it charges via Micro-USB rather than USB-C.
Vaporizing Concentrates at the Glass
The Connect is not a standalone vaporizer but is used with a bong or glass piece — replacing the nail-and-torch combination of classic dab set-ups. Thanks to adapters for 10-, 14-, and 18-mm joints, it fits most water pipes.
